Overall a great place to work with good perks, and where local management tries to look after you despite the company's size.
The good thingsThe perks of free products, samples. Training and development opportunities. Wonderful opportunity to share your knowledge and help others with your experience. Management considerate and kind when employee have a health concern (they do try to embody wellness)
The challengesBeing a number in a global company. Downsizing short sighted and out of touch with client base. Company takes advantage of coach brand loyalty, and wanting the best for their members. Hours paid does not reflect level of work performed.

Great for someone starting out in their career. Dreadful for anyone with specialised skills.
The good thingsMost people are incredibly passionate about making a difference.
The challengesPoor leadership, systems and processes. Teams work in silos and there is a very strong 'Us' and 'Them' mentality from the senior leadership team. The forced hierarchy doesn't work in such small teams.

As a leader, I loved it. Less than impressive company to work for.
The good thingsLoved helping members reach their goals. Made lasting friendships with staff and members. Loved conducting meetings.
The challenges24/7 commitment. Unprofessional, gossiping amongst leaders who formed own cliques. Poor company to work for. Not organised at all, not supportive.

Friendly and relaxed but a rut
The good thingsGreat people, really relaxed culture - lots of people have families and having a life outside of work is really understood and encouraged. If you want to be a part of it, the social life is really great, can make some awesome friends .
The challengesClosed door management, Us and Them culture. NO opportunity for career development or even horizontal development. And for some roles the pay is quite low - this with no opportunity for development makes you feel unvalued.

Challenging, Fast Paced, Diverse, Great People, Hectic, Rewarding
The good thingsWeight Watchers is a very diverse and always changing business in a complex category. It's hectic and fast paced but, with an ultimate goal of helping people in a genuine way, it has an altruistic feeling to it. Like any business, revenue generation and profitability are key to success, but this is achieved by making a tangible difference to peoples lives. When someone shares their story or achievement, you can feel their pride.
The challengesThe fast pace, rapid change and diversity mean being highly flexible, ready to change direction or priorities and be able hula hoop while juggling cats on a moving train in a meeting you didn't know about. It can be overwhelming and stressful but with organisation, great relationships and a bit of creative thinking... not impossible.
