    Lovely work culture, stressful role.
The good thingsCoworkers were all friendly. Good pay and company culture. Good environment. Some customers were nice. Quick way to learn about financial services.
The challengesUnrealistic KPI's to meet while undertrained, difficult to navigate the different systems that are quite outdated, stressful role, your activity is fully monitored including the length of your bathroom breaks, must meet 94% adherence no excuses

Take advantage of learning opportunities, but do not treat is as a 'job for life'.
The good thingsGreat people and opportunities to learn and enhance your skill set.
The challenges- Bureaucracy and job uncertainty with senior management changes. - People are protective of their jobs (understandably so).

    Avoid at all costs.
The good thingsThe pay was above average, that is largely it.
The challengesManager largely had made up her mind who was going to succeed and fail. 16 people started in my cohort. Only two left. One employee is now a manager jetting off to Adelaide and Sydney. Was crowned as a new leader, simply because she was the loudest and most overbearing person in the room.

Don't work in complaints under the Westpac. Your career will be doomed. I was misguided by the executive manager to work there and he advised that I can get the job later at lending which I already mentioned him prior to the interview. At last I had to quit the job.
The good thingsNo good things for this position. High expectations from the manager, micromanaging and need to take permissions even if you want to go for toilet. Haha.
The challengesNo proper training. Though you write a good letter for the customer, you are always get taunted by the manager as she believe the writing and meaning is not up to the expectations. You are always warned by the manager that if you don't write good letter you will be facing management risk framework.

You’re just a number that needs to meet numbers and anything else you do, doesn’t matter
The good thingsThe people you work with
The challengesMeeting drawdown sale targets when not getting the required amount of leads. Having to constantly follow up on system issues. Poor processes in place for the management of files when employee is on annual leave and sick leave. Training on new purchases and new purchases process wasn’t provided.

met some great people while enjoying the flexibility to work from home. However, the company had a micro-managing culture, unreasonably high sales targets, limited staff rewards, and minimal benefits and discounts. Moreover, recent job cuts and restructuring have made it an unstable choice for those seeking job security.
The good thingsyou meet some great people.
The challengesmanagement is unprofessional and micro managing culture throughout the bank

Place where above 80% od people leave after few months. Place felt like bus stop. Every year they get like so many new people in, and after few months they all leave. Management don’t care about employees and even less about their customers. The worst and most hectic place i have ever been. The only good thing is experience that you would put on your resume when you leave
The good thingsNo good things, not a good place to be in
The challengesi would rate this company big 0. Trainings are so bad, system pre historic, very little support, huge expectations to meet stats or KPI after being in a role for few days. Management is toxic and unsupportive.

Could be a great place to work if pay was competitive or at least above other financial institutes.
The good thingsThe people that work there are fantastic and great to get along with. Working from home is always an option for those who only intend on going into the office a couple of days a week/fortnight.
The challengesOverall the pay is not that great. Westpac underperforms when it comes to paying a competitive wage and they attempted to tackle this with their recent EA however it still falls below the line for my line of work. This unfortunately has been evident in the turnover of staff.

An organisation that cannot get the fundamentals right and staff and reputation is suffering
The good thingsThe team that I worked with and people
The challengesShort- term decision making by Execs far removed from the process and impacts that this has on staff and customers. Downsizing a risk and compliance area when it as a time when needed to expand. Royal Commission 2.0 waiting to happen. Decisions made by Execs that move on and never completed or projects ended.

I recommend working at the Westpac for anyone with a thirst for knowlewdge.
The good thingsThe ONETEAM Culture, This is where I truly learned the value of Leading a Multicultural Team.
The challengesAt first I found it difficult to work at different branches, and sites of Westpac. However, after a while I really embraced the ONETEAM moto/mantra. You could literally be interstate and be with a colleague and feel at home.

Hard work doesn't get you noticed.
The good thingsThey have some great branch managers Good uniform allowance Majority of leaders will not accept poor treatment from customers
The challengesThe culture promotes poor work/life balance. Long-serving employees seem to get a free pass to treat others poorly. If you don't like talking about how great you are all over Yammer - you wont go very far. Getting pally with upper management will get you further than hard work. Constant IT issues. Severely under staffed. Poor onboarding process. They took away bonuses permanently.
