World class project with a world class team.
The good thingsThe whole team, from senior management, all the way down the line have been extraordinary 👌
The challengesDeadlines and contractors have been testing.

The company claims to be an inclusive place to work, but don't fall for it.
The good thingsPerks & Training options. Excellent programs to upskill in leadership.
The challengesWorst mid-level manager & Head of Cyber. The managers were unclear about the transformation & delivery. Heavy blame culture. You have to be cautious about the internal politics, or the manager will do experiments & frame it on you. The HR team is a Joke there. Never approach the HR person for the Digital division, they are very uncapble try to fool you by giving fake promises in writing.

Woodside used to be a fantastic place to work but it’s now a breeding ground for toxic culture.
The good thingsVery good work life balance and the ability to work flexible.
The challengesThe company has so much focus on Diversity and Inclusion that it has lost focus on more important issues like HSE, employee mental health and shareholder return.

Would not recommend working here if you are after any type of career development and if you dont eant to get ahead at the cost of other people
The good thingsNothing really worth mentioning
The challengesThey say bring your whole self to work, but only wants you to fo that if you are a certain type of person. So many org changes and leadership is not transparent about anything. People who do not do any meaningful work themselves but are good at pretending they are busy are praised and this behaviour is incentivised. Employee surveys are a joke.

Capital projects is an amazing team to be a part of.
The good thingsIn capital projects, the overall energy and wellbeing of the team is very well taken care of. Am very fortunate to be in this team.
The challengesThe fact that I cannot be fully absorbed into Woodside proper but have to go thru 3rd party manpower supply agencies.

Awful; 18 months I will never get back.
The good thingsThe end of trip facilities and the people (i.e. your own level) you work with; not the leaders.
The challengesManagement: have never worked in an environment where there was such a culture of fear and retribution for speaking out with any decent ideas. All anyone is interested in is pulling those around you down while trying to make it to the top.

I loved the job and people in the industry.
The good thingsGood people to work with. Lots of opportunities available if you want diversity and are prepared to do the hard yards. Salary packages are at a very good level for the industry.
The challengesNo real challenges if you work within the system. Show empathy and respect with all you are in contact with.

The good thingsWoodside is a very structured, efficient, technically rigorous energy sector operator. Fantastic work environment with many great people and interesting work.
The challengesWork can be demanding and managing work life balance needs to be a conscious decision.

Not all it’s cut out to be!
The good thingsSalary and Benefits are very good.
The challengesBad things that happen at site tend to be hushed up. Fellow workers won’t talk to you if they feel better than you. A lot of paperwork. No Job security when things are bad.

Too much compliance and little focus on delivering outcomes.
The good thingsGreat office location and office facilities. The end of trip facilities are well equipped for bicycle parking.
The challengesThere seems to be a focus on doing paper working instead of delivering outcomes. People in compliance roles hold all the power so be prepared to tick boxes and calling it "work". Most people are unfriend and miserable. People you see every day won't even acknowledge you. If you are contractor (given a title of "service provider") be prepared to be treated a lesser being. Most of you time will be spent in trying to figure out what you must comply with to do your job, instead of doing your job.

The good thingsGood rosters for permanent staff. No regard for rosters for contract staff
