A supportive, values-driven company with a strong culture that genuinely invests in its people.
The good thingsOne of the standout aspects of working at Youi is the people and culture. Unlike previous roles, it’s a company I feel proud to be part of. I had no prior experience in sales, but Youi provided excellent training and ongoing support, making the transition smooth and rewarding. The sales environment is energetic and motivating, with leaders who are genuinely supportive and always available to help. The combination of a solid base salary and performance-based incentives is also a strong benefit. The part-time hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–2pm) have been ideal, allowing me to balance work with family commitments. I’ve since moved into a lodgements role to broaden my experience. While more detailed and requiring greater independence, it offers a supportive environment and the same flexibility. Although it doesn’t include incentives, it has been a valuable and rewarding career step.
The challengesLike any role, sales comes with its challenges. A common one is speaking with customers who are only looking for a quote and may not proceed with a purchase. Experiencing this repeatedly can sometimes feel discouraging, but persistence and a positive mindset make a big difference. There are also occasions where interactions with customers can be difficult. Learning not to take these situations personally is important and something that becomes easier with time and experience. Maintaining performance metrics can also be a pressure point, but staying organised and following the process helps keep things on track. In the lodgements role, the main challenge is the level of complexity. It involves navigating multiple systems and managing detailed tasks while communicating with clients. While support is available, there is a greater level of independence expected compared to sales, which can feel challenging at first. However, with time and practice, it becomes more manageable.

I love that everyday is exciting with new challenges to tackle.
The good thingsThe people. It always blows me away how friendly people are and how they put their hands up to help, even if its not their job. Also, very dynamic.
The challengesCan sometimes feel more reactive, rather than proactive

    Do not recommend to anyone.
The good thingsPaid training is great.
The challengesWhile HUMAN is a value, it seams that does not apply to the staff.
Talent Acquisition PartnerThank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you valued the paid training. We’re concerned that your experience didn’t reflect our “Human” value, as creating a supportive environment is very important to us. Feedback like this helps highlight where we need to improve. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best.

Great team culture - we love to celebrate our wins
The good thingsThe workplace culture - I made friends for life from this role. Having fun with your colleagues. When we are waiting for calls, we like to have fun and enjoy the downtime in the office, even play games, which is encouraged. The managers like to boost the morale with team culture days, working towards prizes or having food brought into the office. Recognition is a big thing too - quarterly awards ceremonies to shout out the successes.
The challengesDifficult customers - due to the outbound element to this role, some of the customers were not happy about the process. Managers and team mates were very supportive after difficult calls.

A place to flourish and grow!
The good thingsYoui is an incredibly supportive place to grow, develop and flourish as a young professional. They offer so many opportunities to work on self-development and leadership with internal programs available at every progression step. The Claims department is very diverse with different roles for every type of individual; this really helps with working alongside likeminded individuals which creates a very supportive fun environment. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning new things, having new experiences like travelling to catastrophe sites and helping customers firsthand and working with a group of amazing leaders.
The challengesThere are a few things that could be improved especially from a transparency piece, when first getting the position there was a bit of confusion with the salary due to Youi's incentive being included in the advertised salary, this did lead to advisors resigning fairly early on and a bit of resentment. Another element that could be improved is the onboarding; there is fantastic product training when first entering however role specific still needs improvement.

All around great place to work.
The good thingsGreat place to work and great work life balance. The managers and leaders all very friendly and are very supportive, not just caring about you as an employee but also as a person. It is also a great environment to build people skills and to upskill your sales.
The challengesYou can sometimes get some not so pleasant customers (like any job) so resilience to provide great service to everyone is needed.

A purpose driven company where the work has real impact.
The good thingsThe culture’s energetic and genuinely fun, and the perks feel considered, not just tick-the-box stuff. What I appreciate most is the clarity. You know the goals, you know the priorities, and leadership is pretty transparent about where we’re headed. There’s no “let’s just look busy” vibe, it’s about real outcomes. And the work actually means something. We’re helping real people when life doesn’t go to plan, and that sense of purpose...you feel it in the day to day.
The challengesThere’s definitely accountability. It’s performance led and you’re measured against clear targets. They’ll stretch you, but they’re not impossible. And you’re not left on your own, there’s real support to help you get there. It’s office based too. But honestly, that’s where a lot of the growth happens. You get coached in the moment, learn from the person sitting next to you, and have leaders who are actually there and present.

    Great Culture and helpful management!
The good thingsManagement and the culture was great, very supportive and caring when it was needed. Claims staff were great to work with and teamwork was one of the things that was apparent. National manager was approachable and understanding of the staff and their needs. I could not have asked for better leaders and amongst the best I have worked under.
The challengesTraining could have been better, when I first started, but that’s it.

Talent Acquisition Manager Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the pay competitive, but we’re sorry your experience didn’t reflect the work–life balance we aim to provide. We do offer a range of roster options, including dedicated school-hours sales roles designed specifically for parents and carers who want to balance family commitments with a strong career. We continue to review our approach to ensure we’re supporting our people as best we can.

If you can deal with the toxic and pushy sales great for you.
The good thingsTraining was great and positive and you got paid for it.
The challengesVery pushy sales. Manipulating customers is a must and you should be OK with it. The music and atmosphere was loud and very hard to hear on the phones some times.

The good thingsMy team was pretty good but they swap your team out so much because people leave so much
The challengesThe management style. The toxic atmosphere they create. The pressure they put on you to keep customers on the phone borderline pressure selling. The unrealistic standard where unanswered calls go towards your kpis So much more

Be aware - the $80k salary is packaged to include ALL bonuses AND Superannuation. The actual take-home full time salary, not including super and bonuses is approx $59k - if you manage to get all bonuses, the take home pay increases to $67k
The good thingsTypical Call Centre Roll
The challengesBe aware if misleading job advertisements on SEEK

Talent Acquisition Manager Thank you for sharing your feedback. We want to be clear that our advertised salary packages outline total remuneration, which includes base salary, superannuation and potential bonuses. This is detailed in our recruitment process and discussed at the first phone interview to ensure candidates understand how earnings are structured. We take concerns about transparency in advertising seriously and regularly review our job ads to ensure they accurately reflect the role and remuneration.

I would NOT recommend working here….
The good thingsNice coffee at the coffee shop upstairs!
The challengesThe culture is extremely concerning and far from what is advertised. In the Home Claims department, the environment is toxic, and staff are consistently overworked to the point of burnout. The workload is unmanageable, turnover is extremely high, and management provides little to no support, leaving employees struggling both mentally and emotionally. My time here had a significant negative impact on my mental health and confidence. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this as a healthy or supportive place to work.

Toxic, misaligned with company values and disappointing
The good thingsClean and well maintained facilities
The challengesCulture - it’s toxic - run away! Inexperience is valued more than skillset and work ethic. Grievances are encouraged and lack of commitment is rewarded with promotion. Accountability for mistakes is palmed back from management to frontline staff. Job security is low and staff turnover is very high

Constantly working with unhappy and inexperienced staff. Management generally inexperienced and not up to standard.
The good thingsThe work is easy, anyone can do it
The challengesConstantly working with unhappy staff and managers, lack of quality managers (management team usually has little to no management experience outside Youi) Micro-managing. Constant breach of workplace standards. The money is more important than staff and you are treated like a number

Save your mental health and don’t apply here
The good thingsSome workers there made the job bearable
The challengesThe managers likes to sell Youi as a “low pressure” job, in reality, it’s based on individual KPIS and if you’re not selling then you’re nothing to anyone. They don’t take mental health seriously. Constantly would feel anxious coming into work everyday due to the amount of reprimand copped from customers who dislike their processes in obtaining a quote online. When having panic attacks after such phone calls, I had to get back on the phones like nothing happened. I asked multiple times to transfer departments and was promised on multiple occasions I would be told about openings, surprisingly heard nothing. Finally applied for a different department but was unsuccessful “due to potential of growth in my current department”. Team meetings were a barrage of insults and blaming making the day unenjoyable. There is pure favouritism within this work place & when reporting things that make you uncomfortable it’s swept under the rug.

The good thingsGreat training - Good opportunity to make friends during on boarding
The challengesPoor management. Unrealistic KPIs which you will be humiliated in meetings for not fulfilling. Despised the thought of coming here to work everyday after two weeks in the role, coming from someone who met targets consistently.

The good thingsMy manager was incredibly supportive to me as a someone completely new to the industry and fostered a great team environment. When he went on paternity leave the interim manager was also great. The pay structure was transparent and I felt it fair. My teammates were amazing and training extensive.

I would never recommend working here to anyone. My mental health took a huge hit working there. Management don’t care your just a number to them. Managers have no experience in how to look after staff or treat people like adults. It’s a high school like culture that makes you feel small and insignificant. Never felt worse about myself than when I worked in this hellhole
The good thingsCafe outside had good food
The challengesCulture. Micromanaging. No career progression. Unrealistic KPI. You’re expected to put pressure on people to get sales. High school like environment, promotion based on popularity rather than performance
