How to become a Cafe Allrounder

SEEK Learning
Cafe Allrounders are not required to hold a qualification, although they may be viewed favourably by employers.

  1. Find a job as a Kitchenhand and get to know the operations of a cafe. Ask to get experience in the front of the cafe serving customers when you’ve had some time to get to know how the cafe works.
  2. Consider completing a short course at TAFE in food handling or a Certificate III in Hospitality (SIT30616) to build on your experience.
  3. You could also train as a Barista to boost your skillset.
