How to become a Civil Designer
To become a Civil Designer you are usually required to have completed some formal training, which may include a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Civil Engineering or an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency CAD software.
- Complete a qualification in civil engineering or engineering technology.
- While you’re completing your formal training seek out internship opportunities and develop your practical experience with 12d Model and CAD programs, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads, HydroCAD, and StormCAD.
