How to become a Marketing Assistant
While not essential, it may be an advantage to hold a qualification to find employment as a Marketing Assistant.
- You can complete a Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication (BSB42415) or a Diploma of Marketing and Communication (BSB52415) at TAFE or through a private college. These take between 6 months and 2 years to complete, depending on the course.
- Consider complete a Bachelor of Marketing, a Bachelor of Marketing and Communication, or a Bachelor of Advertising. The courses will take 3 years full-time, and can be delivered in a classroom or online. University education will require you to have completed year 12 or gain special admission.
- You may be able to find a role without qualifications as an Administrative Assistant and work your way up through the ranks as you gain knowledge and experience.
