How to become a Sales Engineer

SEEK Learning
There are no formal prerequisites to become a Sales Engineer; however, most employers prefer candidates with business-to-business (B2B) sales experience and qualifications at the Vocational Education and Training (VET) or university level.

  1. Complete a relevant qualification. At university this could be a bachelor degree majoring in Business. This is usually a three–year full–time course. A relevant VET certification could be the Certificate IV in Business Sales (BSB40615).
  2. Hold a current driver’s licence.
  3. Build your business-to-business sales experience in a junior role.
