What's it like to be a Scaffolder?
Scaffolders assemble and dismantle temporary platforms or structures at events or on work sites. Scaffolders are individuals who are physically strong and are comfortable working outdoors and high above the ground. They must be prepared to work in a variety of locations and at times, in difficult weather conditions.
Tasks and duties
- Working from plans and blueprints, selecting scaffolding materials, fitting together steel pipes, braces and clamps before lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding together.
- Disassembling scaffolding at the completion of a job and ensuring the site is clean and tidy.
- Following procedures and instructions to ensure the safety and security of the scaffolding and the people working on the site.
How to become a Scaffolder
There are different ways to become a Scaffolder. You can undertake a course in scaffolding, but you’ll also need to have a High Risk work permit, and Scaffolders working in the construction industry will need a White Card.
- 1.Undertake a course in scaffolding, such as a Certificate III in Scaffolding (CPC30911).
- 2.Become an apprentice or trainee Scaffolder by entering into a formal training contract with an employer.
- 3.Ensure you have a High Risk work permit in order to legally work as a Scaffolder.

It's was when we are erecting a Scaffold inside confirm space.we are just 2 inside and you can't stand to erect it because of the little space and so many instructions inside the vessel.
