Social Media Managers are responsible for developing social media plans for individuals and organisations. They collaborate with business owners, product managers, agencies and influencers to plan and create content for social media distribution.
Tasks and duties
- Creating a content plan and sharing it with the social media team.
- Overseeing content creation, or in smaller organisations creating content themselves.
- Monitoring social media channels at all hours of the day.
- Staying up to date with trending content formats and hashtags.
- Monitoring the mentions of the organisation in news feeds.
- Interacting with followers by responding to enquiries, comments and complaints.
- Using analytics and data to measure results of social media activities.
- Presenting strategies and key results to the wider business.
