Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers in Silicon Valley who wanted to prove that electric cars could be better than gasoline-powered cars. With instant torque, incredible power, and zero emissions, Tesla’s products would be cars without compromise. Each new generation would be increasingly affordable, helping the company work towards its mission: to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.Source: This is an extract from the company's own website.

It was an adventure and I learned a lot but I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it to others as an employer.
The good thingsThe people. The opportunity to grow with the company if you stick it out.
The challengesInexperienced and inconsistent management. Constant strategic change in direction. Everyone busy trying to make Elon happy, not enough energy left to care about the people. Poor investment in training and development, high turnover.

Don't have high expectations just because it's Tesla.
The good thingsIt was good to have sign-in bonus. People were warm and accommodating. Communication within the team was centralised.
The challengesYou have to be prepared to do the job that is outside of your expected role. You need to be flexible when the management asks you to move from one branch to another. You have to accept that there will be several people in the workplace who are not actually qualified to do their roles. Working here will give you good impression on your resume, but the pay is average or can be lower than other companies.
