Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. You will be treated like you don't matter.
The good thingsOnly good things is the events! And the team members.
The challengesPay is terrible. Your concerns will not be heard or listened to by managers/leaders they consistently turn a blind eye, get defensive or completely misinterpret what team members want. You will be over worked, under paid, under valued and told to leave if you don't like it. I was TRAUMATISED by this business and would not recommend anyone to work for them if you want to keep your SANITY.

Good and bad things - I enjoyed working their but mandatory 40 hours took its toll with wk life bal
The good thingsThe people are fantastic. Was a good culture and the team I worked in was great. If you want to progress and you have shown you work well with the team, you are able to do so. There are events often (it is pushed to attend) so if you're social you will love it.
The challengesABN work a 40 hour week (8am to 5pm) , with 3 days onsite. The week is long with the mandatory 2 hours of overtime. Salary is average to industry standard. (hrly rate below once you factor in the overtime) There is no parking (its in the Docklands) . Attendance at social events can be tiring if its not your thing. Office needs an upgrade - no stand up desks for drafting, hotdesking also.

A fantastic company that genuinely cares about you and your professional journey.
The good thingsThe onboarding experience was exceptional, one of the best I’ve had. Everything ran smoothly, and the team has been incredibly welcoming, taking the time to support and include you from day one.
The challengesIt is a complex business, take your time to understand it and don't be afraid to ask questions.

The best company I've worked for so far - love my team! :)
The good thingsThe team here are amazing & very welcoming - they feel like family away from home! I'm grateful to have found this role when I did.
The challengesWorking within a larger team can have its ups and downs, but we all work together & that's what makes a difference here.

Extremely Chaotic and very young company
    The good thingslocation in docklands.
The challengesextremely political and unprofressional. the management in particular in technology is just focused on delivering results that look good on paper but back end staff as well as processes are extremely degraded

11 years at ABN and still loving it, amazing place to work with great opportunities.
The good thingsABN Group is a great place to work, they have amazing career growth opportunities, flexible working arrangements and an awesome team culture. I have worked here for almost 11 years in various roles across the business, promotions and growth is encouraged and there is great support available. The work is challenging but enjoyable, it's a very collaborative environment where we work well as a team to get the best results.
The challengesPerhaps more office locations as many staff are spread out across Melbourne outer suburbs

A Place to Grow and Make an Impact
The good thingsI love working at ABN Group because the work feels meaningful and the team environment is genuinely supportive. Every day brings something different, and it’s rewarding to be part of helping customers create their homes while continuing to develop my own skills. It’s a place where people collaborate, take pride in what they deliver, and are always looking for ways to improve.
The challengesOne area that could be improved at ABN Group is ensuring priorities and communication stay aligned across teams. At times, shifting priorities or unclear ownership can create confusion and slow down progress. Continued focus on stronger cross-team communication and consistent expectations would help teams work more efficiently and deliver an even better customer experience.

IT - Extremely poor leadership. Bunch of cowboys. Stay away
The good thingsLeederville is a modern office They provide snacks Close to shops
The challengesThe management is clueless and out of touch. Full of ego and poor leadership. Poor leadership, blame game, lack of transparency, blame is shifted to people who really do the work, end less meetings without any outcome, no career growth, loyal old staff is shafted around. You will be lied upon with straight face by team leader and managers who themselves don't have much clue. Good work is rarely acknowledged

It's now very corporate and not the family orientated business it used to be. No care factor
The good thingsThe team and the building
The challengesThe business is becoming very corporate. No structure and Exec management have no idea what's happening in Finance at the moment. No direct management reporting for the whole team and no structure with work which is a big worry for where the business will end up. Pay is very low amd no career growth

Your responsibilities will increase, your salary wont.
The good thingsIts a very successful business and homes are constructed to a very high standard. Which makes you proud to work at ABN.
The challengesSince the merge ABN has become very bureaucratic with a high staff turnover. We now see lots of team leaders and managers in roles they may not be experienced enough for. There is no accountability on departments and too many responsibilities now lie with the construction team.

I have had a fantastic first year of working at ABN, I'm very grateful for my time here.
The good thingsABN Group have an amazing culture. The people in the business are what makes coming into the office everyday such a pleasure. Everyone is bubbly and happy to see one another. Not only is everyone happy to be there but they are all extremely talented and passionate about what they do.
The challengesABN Group is a fast-paced, ever-changing workplace. Not for everyone, some people don't like the constant change and expectation to rise to the standard. There certainly is a culture of working hard but with the right managers, it doesn't go unnoticed by leadership and is paid off with many perks.

Evolving workplace with a clear vision
The good thingsGreat team and working culture within my business unit. Lots of varied work to keep you engaged and good opportunities for growth and development available to those that seek it.
The challengesThere has been a reliance on traditional processes, and some initial hesitation around change - however, this is gradually shifting.

I really enjoy the work I do and the working environment in which I do it. The ABN Group has endless opportunity for people wanting to develop professionally and explore career movement both vertically and horizontally.
The good thingsThe people I work with, the flexibility and the culture of growth within the company. My team is so supportive, and the business has been wonderful in providing flexible working arrangements to allow me to work through a number of life events.
The challengesBeing a larger business, there has been times when collaboration between departments has been challenging, but the groups focus on continual learning and improvement has meant this is being addressed as part of the current business plan.

ABN Group WA has an amazing, supportive and fun team environment.
The good thingsGreat team environment, fast paced with plenty of variety and opportunities to learn and grow. Management is very supportive, and the building is amazing. There are also lots of fun events to break up the weeks.
The challengesNothing major. Pay is average to start with.

While the fast-paced environment is engaging, ABN Group’s poor management, lack of career progression, and minimal recognition make it a workplace I cannot recommend.
The good thingsWorking at ABN Group has been a rewarding experience in many ways. The fast-paced environment keeps things exciting and provides plenty of opportunities to learn and grow professionally. The team is dynamic, and collaboration is highly encouraged, creating a motivating atmosphere.
The challenges There seems to be little room for growth or advancement within the company, which can be demotivating for long-term career planning. Salary is not competitive compared to similar roles in the industry, which may not align with the effort and pace of the work environment. The fast-paced environment, while engaging, can sometimes lead to burnout or difficulty maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Limited training opportunities and a lack of focus on personal or professional development can make it hard to upskill or feel valued. Efforts and dedication unnoticed by the reporting manager, with little to no recognition or appreciation from the management.

Reasonable place to work, good direct Manager, ability to WFH days is appreciated.
The good thingsThe department I am working in is a small team. The team works well with emphasis on respect and communication. Direction from upper management is focused on improvement and working smarter.Opportunity for WFH days per week, is the best incentive to stay.
The challengesLimited possibility to moove forward. Pay is not as high as other places. Providing opportunity and assistance to educate in your field of department, is although encouraged and claim to support, is actually not carried through when you request it.

ABN Group gives you a chance to own your career and give you the support to develop your skills.
The good thingsThe people here are amazing, we achieve a lot and have fun along the way.
The challengesFor someone joining us from outside the industry you need to be curious and open to learning new things quickly. We work at a fast pace which can take a while to get used to.

They have serious management and cultural issues, I would look elsewhere unless desperate.
The good thingsI personally liked the fast pace and daily challenges but I would think that would only appeal to a very small number of people.
The challengesLow pay, the management and culture is horrible. With the low pay they only retain sub standard management and anyone of value usually doesn’t last for more then 12/18 months.

    Do NOT recommend!
The good thingsSome genuinely friendly people. Good focus on staff events.
The challengesNo flexible working arrangements Mixed messaging and conflicting direction from management. Departments can be very cliquey. Experienced disrespectful comments about my culture from some staff. Management gaslight you into thinking you are being paid well but it’s far below average pay.

    Unparallelled culture
The good thingsGreat culture. Management puts a lot of effort into having people love coming to work and have fun and connection while here. Big emphasis on wellbeing and safety and I love they're doing a lot of work on diversity and equality.
The challengesThe size and breadth of what they do is a double-edged sword. While ABN Group does a lot in the industry, the wide diversity of work and roles can cause a little confusion at times. But that's all part of a big company that continues to grow and evolve.

The good thingsOne of the greatest places to work. The culture is fun, supportive, and engaging with plenty of opportunities to grow and develop - hard work is rewarded.
The challengesEnvironment is face paced, you won't have a problem if you work hard and enjoy a challenge, but this place isn't for someone wanting to sit back and be lazy.

Nothing like how they make it out to be, however a good learning experience
The good thingsGood for a young person starting out first 12 months. The Ability to take extra work home with you after hours and work in a very fast paced environment. Lots of events to go to outside of working hours and on weekends. Simple house plans and You won't get bored because you are working a lot.
The challengesHaving to “fit in” so you don’t get constant management or HR meetings. The compulsory events for staff. The challenge of fitting in attending everything when you have a life makes it not a nice place to work. High staff turnover was a big issue. Most people leave after 12-18 months which meant more issues with clients due to inexperienced staff. I saw many people with experience leave and go to different companies with better incentives or rewards. The clashes between operations and sales. There are constantly issues between the two departments which makes the office environment sometimes stressful for staff. Having to work 7 days a week and manage a life outside of the company. Management micromanage and place extra pressure to achieve targets constantly moving the goal post. OVERALL it was a good learning experience just not somewhere one can build a career due to it being un-sustainable long-term for most people. I felt like it was a good learning experience for a young person at the beginning of their career.

Amazing place to work. Highly recommend joining ABN Group.
The good thingsCommunication - Any time there is something on the horizon, the Executives book in a company/finance wide 'Townhall' to advise what their plans are and how they expect to achieve. This is a company value therefore is a general practice within all departments of the group. Any time there is a new plan, process or decision, communication is released almost immediately. You're never left wondering at ABN. Support - I have never felt more supported than I do here at ABN. Over my 4+ years here I have always received any and all support I felt I needed. Through the more challenging times, management is always offering support, reassurance and gratitude which is a huge motivation. General Vibe - There's no Bulls*#t. ABN is amazing at addressing this ASAP and sorting out any issues before they become toxic. This has always been something I've loved about the group. The company also has an amazing culture and atmosphere. Everyone is kind and always keen for a social catch up.
The challengesThere's not necessarily anything 'difficult' here at ABN. Sure, the workloads are large but that's not a negative. Increased workloads is a great factor for the business plus we are very much supported here so you never feel like you're drowning. If you speak up, Management will jump straight away to offer assistance.
