Goodbye Monday Blues! The good thingsBefore joining Adrenalin, for a while, I have been missing my very first job where I didn’t feel anxious when the sun goes down on a Sunday nor did I start counting down the days until Friday on a Monday / Tuesday evening, because I was passionate about what I was doing, leadership and culture was exceptional, I was growing both as a person and a professional, and we were smashing goals.
A few months after joining Adrenalin, I told my manager from the very first job that the feeling is back and I think there are several reasons for it:
1. I feel motivated on a daily basis because I am passionate about what I am doing at Adrenalin and I would give the credit to the consistency between the job description (and the interview) and my actual responsibilities. At Adrenalin, 90% of what I do is within scope and when it is not, my manager will check with me before assigning the task to me .
2. I feel being respected, looked after and supported. The culture, leadership and management here at Adrenalin is genuine, empathetic, reasonable and helpful that I feel comfortable to share my thoughts and opinions during conversations with my manager, other leaders and colleagues; they are all very supportive and helpful; apart from learning from each other, Adrenalin also actively encourages and generously supports everyone’s professional development; last but not the least, Adrenalin walks the work-life balance talk that we have a flexible working arrangement and we receive lots of nice perks throughout the year, e.g. social events, vouchers, days off, gift boxes…
3. While Adrenalin is an established agency and has high profile clients, it continues to grow and there are lots of new challenges and opportunities to be a part of.
The challengesWith the agency's continuous growth, although it brings new opportunities, it can sometimes be challenging to juggle competing priorities. Having said that, the leadership team is very reasonable and open to recommendations.
