    work to live, not live to work
    The good thingsDiverse sites and work scopes. Past doing the big hours on constant call. Just enjoying work when the team needs so a very good work/life balance. Since the separation from Downer, the company has a very dynamic direction

    Eye opening to how bad arrogant ego driven management can be, and very disappointing. It is impossible to work for managers you don't have any respect for.

    If you would like a job that makes you happy to go to work. Try a different company this company is a shocking.
    The good thingsWas a great company at one stage with a great culture and work environment was lost when spotless took over.
    The challengesThe company has lost it’s way, along with all the other companies spotless has purchased and run down, how they are still doing business is beyond me. Chaotic management, Managed by crisis.

    The good thingsGood Technicians, Project Managers, Service Managers and Account Managers who work with you to achieve a result
    The challengesPoor Service co-ordination, Co-ordinators feel belittle technicians and have a very poor attitude, very hard to work with which caused myself and other technicians to leave, I also found the co-ordination its self to be poor and be unorganised

    Spotless - The Business Killer
    The good thingsThe only good thing left at AE Smith is the some of the original AE Smith employees (what’s left of them).
    The challengesThe Spotless takeover. This has completely ruined the business which once had an amazing working environment, excellent initiatives for both business and employees and employee perks. It is now an empty shell when you are simply a number. There’s no comradely or sense of value anymore.

    Fantastic in the early days, not so great towards the end.
    The good thingsAE Smith was an amazing place to work pre the Spotless take over. A family business, with great culture, ethics and a help each other attitude.
    The challengesHeart and soul was ripped out of AE Smith after the takeover. New management was very poor, no empathy, don't think the word emotional intelligence has be heard off. Very tough to stay motivated.
