My experience with AEG has been a positive one. I continue to enjoy everyday spent working with children and colleagues alike. The children bring a smile to my face each day and my colleagues and management are very supportive.
The good things‌It’s a good company to work for offering a lot of professional development for educators with encouragement to do more learning.
The challengesSome challenges we face are if we are understaffed or with staff turnover.

Do not recommend Affinity for anyone, especially if you are looking for management position.
The good thingsNone. Some of the staff are hard working and give their best under such a toxic work environment.
The challengesNo support whatsoever from head office. No proper induction. No communication between department in the head office. Severely out of ratios on daily basis and head office couldn't care less. I've been in the sector for a while and so far this is the worst childcare company I've ever worked at.

Affinity Education always goes above and beyond to recognize internal achievements
The good thingsAffinity Education always goes above and beyond to recognize internal achievements, and promote within to allow us the opportunity to grow professional and achieve new milestones. I have been given multiple opportunities to learnt things I never would in my general day to day, that other companies simply don’t offer. I have been able to learn and help in Quality Improvement, Centre Director Mentorship and Acquisitions. Being exposed to multiple areas within the business has allowed me to develop my own skill set, and share this with others within the company.
The challengesN/A find it a great work environment

The challengesRecruitment challenges throughout sector, we need more wonderful educators and teachers to join our teams to offer as many children and families the education and care they deserve!

Affinity provided a lot of amazing experiences for staff with options to study further and to also take part in different workshops. I enjoyed their learning portal too was very efficient for update detail and accessing payslips and policies
The good thingsI really enjoyed working for the affinity group. We had a lovely bunch of educators and staff out at the Sunbury Centre. I only left due to pregnancy.
The challengesThe open and close shift were challenging for me due to having my eldest at school however I was later changed to a middle shift to help me with this.

    Amazing Career growth
The good thingsI have been working with Affinity Education Group for 10 years now and have had great opportunity within the company to work my way up from a casual educator to now being the assistant centre manager moving into a centre manager position being provided with the support and training needed for these changes. The company allows growth from within and provides all the necessary support for one to feel confident in themselves to step into a different role.
The challengesAffinity have a great management team to help assist and overcome any challenges that may arise.

A fun and positive workplace environment where staff feel valued and respected, inspiring us to strive and reflect the positivity in our daily practices while creating a nurturing and qualitative environments for the children.
The good thingsA positive working environment, with open and honest feedback, employees are comfortable and at ease in sharing their thoughts and ideas without judgement. Supportive management who listen and encourage employees to strive and work at their best, thus, developing a work culture of trust and mutual respect. Great work-life balance with negotiable working arrangements and accessible resources to manage stress and workload. The company also invests professional development of their staff such as training opportunities, scholarship and traineeship opportunities with rewards and recognition and creating a culture of workplace appreciation. An inclusive and diverse working environment that respects cultural and religious values, thus, creating a positive workplace where staff feel welcomed and valued.
The challengesA personal challenge of returning to work after a long maternity leave, but have had constant support from staff and management.

It has been rewarding and I have found myself to be quite supported but he management and the team for all my achievements…
The good thingsAt Affinity education, the work culture is just outstanding where your individuality is respected and accepted. There are heaps of opportunities where you can step up in your role or step on a role which you are interested but not a pro as there is a super supportive team at your back…
    The challengesNone at the moment…
