Overworked, unsupported, and favoritism is far too noticeable. Many duties for only certain people.
The good thingsThere is very little positive to say about the workplace culture. The environment is extremely toxic, with noticeable favoritism and poor leadership practices. Many staff members have resigned as a result of ongoing issues involving the deputy and the learning coordinator including me.
The challengesThe workload is excessive and unrealistic. Since moving to a new school, I’ve realised how manageable and balanced a workload can actually be.

Wasted a decade of my life over a school that cares about nothing but image and grades.
The good thingsGreat experience and brings the best you have to offer
The challengesTeachers efforts, dedication and knowledge are not considered. Teachers are constantly taken advantage of and turned into emotionless machines.

Do not recommend this school if you want to develop your skills as a quality teacher.
The good thingsHigher pay than most schools
The challengesAuthoritarian school leaders who seek to suck the life out of the school environment and limit teachers ability to provide students with an engaging, rewarding learning experience. The school only cares about performing well in the HSC and will take ruthless measures to do so.

    Horrible! Don’t waste your time.
The good thingsThe pay and working with the students
The challengesManagement are so incompetent, lack of staff professional development and no chance of career development. They work staff to the bone and then throw them out if they don’t like them. I wouldn’t work for this company if they were the last school on earth. No career progression at all.

The college provides opportunities for teachers to grow professionally with a wide range of opportunities to develop your skills
The good thingsA very strong and supportive leadership team that emphasises the opportunities for all students and staff alike.
The challengesA large school can be hard to get use to but at the same time, it's diversity is a positive
