    The good thingsAlder provides the opportunity to deliver a wide range of local projects, each presenting unique challenges and complexities with great people. The company truly values hard work and dedication of its employees and despite the long hours, the efforts put in by the team members are recognised and rewarded. Alder has fostered a family friendly culture and not working every Saturday is a huge bonus in our industry. Highly recommended for anyone who isn't afraid of a little hard work.
    The challengesThe challenging nature managing multiple projects but this pushed me to constantly to improve and grow professionally. I've learned a lot during my time here and was given opportunities to take on new responsibilities that I would not have had in a top tier contractor.

    Very appreciative of the oppotunity when I began but stayed in the same position for 3.5 years and not looking like I would be moving up within the company.
    The good thingsNo ego in the company from GM to your labourers. Family owned buisness so no issues if need time off to attent to family matters. Great christmas parties and a case of beer or choice of drink on your birthday.
    The challengesBeing stuck in situations sometimes with no help from site management as being too busy with tendering and left to make important desisions for yourself. Travelling became a problem, while accomodation was supplied it was always a challenge having a young family to stay away for very long.
