    Good Staff, Indifferent Management
The good things-Co-workers are great, everyone on a store level looks out for each other -Flexible hours -Decent enough pay
The challenges-Upper management disregards the needs of employees on a store level -Strict time frames for physically demanding work, threatened with termination if you off by a few minuets -Unspoken rule for you put your own safety at risk to prevent theft despite what they say is in their own 'corporate policy'

Worst company I have ever worked for, in my 40 years in the workforce!!!
The good thingsBuilding a repore with the regular customers and bonding with colleagues over the disgusting way Aldi's treats their employees
The challengesThe way we are treated!! Being monitored on camera and being reprimanded for the slightest thing, but very rarely praised. Being expected to act like security guards. Being timed on running load. Constantly being made to work with minimal staff.

Customer Store AssistantWhat can l say. Every minute of your shift is accounted for. Even bathroom breaks. Morning shift - when unloading mixes, you have a minimum of 20 minutes per pallet, regardless of the height. If you work for a high volume store there is no way to complete it.

    Worst place to work ever
The good thingsThere was basically no good. A few employees were great to work with but that’s it
The challengesAldi has the most ridiculous expectations they want you to achieve and will have you struggling every shift for no benefits. 6am start to then sweat and run around for the rest of the day only to be told you weren’t good enough. Managers are awful and the pay you can’t live on with the hours you get

Good pay. Surprised by the poor leadership given ALDI is a large company. They come across unorganised, unclear of their goals and lack critical communication skills.
The good thingsThe pay was above what other similar jobs were offering
The challengesManagement lack leadership qualities. They speak down to you. They get defensive when provided feedback or challenged in any way. Lack basic people skills, simple things like saying "hi" or "bye". They make false promises and do not manage employee expectations. Disgruntled staff murmur among themselves, not willing to discuss their issues with management because it goes nowhere. You are just a number here. You are told off for even speaking to your colleagues. No conversations around career development. Just head down and do your job.

they pay you more because they expect you to put your blood and soul into it. unrealistic expectations. if you like gyming and being pushed to unrealistic targets- you might like it. i never had time to take all my breaks and felt bad for taking them. if 1 person calls in sick- all taks cant be done but the expectations are still the same. nothing is good enough for the management. dont get fooled by the salary.
    The good thingsSalary, team members
The challengesmicromanaged, task times are captured on an ipad. feedback is always critical.

    Lots of pressure, minimal rewards.
The good thingsColleagues and customer interactions. Satisfaction of seeing your work and helping to run the store. The work can be fun and satisfying and varied.
The challengesRosters are guides only - always expect to be called in at a moments notice, or be asked to stay back. A lot of pressure and your work is rarely good enough. No overtime rates, regardless of hours.

Enjoy the work but the people culture is extremely terrible. Specially the area management and up.
The good thingsFast paced and no time to rest or waste. That's the only good thing.
The challengesNo interaction with management and zero opportunities if you are a migrant non white.
