ALDI - Good Different.The good thingsIn 2022 I applied at ALDI as a Store Assistant in Brisbane and three years later am still working with the company as a Duty Store Manager. I have worked at 4 different ALDI stores; each varying differently due to Management and teams. All stores have a great culture and a welcoming environment.
ALDI offers great opportunities to progress in the company internally, and they offer great support to you in these new roles. ALDI provides great training.
ALDI pushes you to be the best version of yourself, offering praise and constructive criticism where necessary, helping team members develop professionally.
Working at ALDI, you will do a bit of everything. You will have to learn to multitask. You also need to have a great sense of urgency in order to complete tasks given to you in the set time frames. ALDI holds high but achievable expectations for each employee. Overall, ALDI is a great company to work for, you will gain a lot of great experience, however, it is hard but rewarding work
The challengesDespite the workplace typically being great, your experience at ALDI will definitely depend on the team and Management team at the store you work at. If you find that you do not like or are unhappy with the store you work at, I would definitely recommend requesting to transfer stores!
Also, definitely look after your body and lift correctly, especially if you get into management, long lasting negative effects will occur otherwise :)
