A Place Where Driving Change is the Challenge Itself (unfortunately it's true)
The good thingsThe team (the department that I worked for) was a good friendly and professional team with strong work ethics.
The challengesCAMO Management has not evolved with the company’s expansion. The same methods used when the fleet was around 10 aircraft are still being applied today, even though the operation has grown to over 70. Outdated practices, excessive micromanagement, and a lack of modern workflow structure contribute to a stressful and unproductive environment. The workload is high, yet the salary and benefits do not reflect the level of responsibility or effort required.

Fun, Dynamic and Diverse Work Environment
The good thingsI worked for Alliance Airlines based out of Brisbane, then relocating to Townsville and flying out of there. Alliance is a diverse and dynamic work environment. No two days are the same which creates a fun career.
The challengesWork life balance as a flight attendant can be challanging, but I found Alliance to be very understanding and flexible.

The bad heavily outweighs the good so I wouldn't bother
The good thingsTight nit work group Good morale Everyone has a get in and get the work done attitude Encouraged to speak up and report issues relating to safety and everyday work Good mix of working in doors and outdoors Great support from team and management on site
The challengesNo support from upper management in Brisbane almost as if we don't exist Constantly short staffed and terrible staff turnover Upper management wont listen when we say we need more people on per shift Pay, rosters and work/life balance doesn't keep up with surrounding businesses hence the staff turnover Fatigue builds up not having enough staff on per shift and rosters don't allow for adequate time off to recuperate and recover Large discrepancies in our pay rates that Payroll and HR cant or wont explain Split shifts Feels as if we're subcontractors and not apart of the company in any meaningful way Taking the initiative to learn new things or take on any kind of responsibility isn't rewarded at all You're just a number at the end of the day, feels like they'd get rid of us in a heartbeat if they could

Overall a good experience. Lots of opportunity to learn and grow. Plenty of collaborative work and open structure. Room for career development.
The good thingsI like the way the business is run, good people, and exciting industry.
The challengesThere was nothing of note that was a concern.

    Go to any other airline.
The good thingsGood crew and higher pay than other airlines.
The challengesZero work life balance. Management couldn’t care less about crew, long hours with minimum rest. Aircraft conditions are terrible, you’ll often be expected to work a 12 hour day without running water.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but my experience at the Brisbane Stores department was so unprofessional that I feel compelled to share. What shocked me most was how my termination was handled—it was beyond unprofessional. After just two weeks of employment, I called in sick and later received a text message informing me that my role was no longer required. No meeting, no phone call—just a text. When I tried to reach my manager for clarification, he ignored my calls and even blocked my number. When I confronted him in person, he admitted the decision wasn’t his and that management had to make budget cuts, but he was told not to engage with me at all. Being let go due to budget cuts is one thing, but the complete lack of communication, respect, and professionalism was appalling. I had more experience than my peers, yet I was the one chosen for termination without any explanation beforehand. Whether it was poor management, personal bias, or something else, I’ll never know.
The good thingsThe pay was decent, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend working here
The challengesThe work environment was unwelcoming, with senior staff being dismissive. I was even assigned tasks outside my job description, like vacuuming the warehouse.

Best regional airline in WA to work for.
The good thingsShort shifts, most weekends off, the ability to request preferred roster or to swap duties. We are paid well for the job that we are doing and there is opportunities to earn extra if you’re willing to work more. The job is easy and you don’t take it home with you. Overall great people to work with. 6 weeks annual leave.
The challengesCommunication with upper management is difficult, crew are always the last to know anything and as a result rumours start. Not too many opportunities for career progression, there’s only so far you can go. The work is not very mentally stimulating so it can get boring. Your duties can change last minute making it difficult to make plans or bookings unless it is an RDO. Annual assessments and testing can be stressful and a lot of memorisation is involved.

Definitely helps pay the bills and is good work experience.
The good thingsIt is a plus having weekends off and easy quick shifts.
The challengesThe working environment feels like being in high school - non stop gossip and cliques... Also aspects of training can be stressful and pedantic.

Worked hard and often did overtime but in the end was made redundant due to the board seeking greater profits by sending work overseas.
The good thingsSome good people to work with.
The challengesManagement does not listen when is comes to safety, workers ideas, or OH&S. Alliance Airlines does not value workers, only profits.

I actually love getting up to go to work, I love this job.
The good thingsThere are more good things than bad in this job, which is not easy to find! I love flying work, the passengers, the destinations, the overnights, the company dynamics, the management and the crew.
The challengesWork and life balance is hard. You need to be available 24/7 everyday, unless you have an RDO. Making plans outside of work is nearly impossible. You make plans and chances are you'll have to cancel them for work. This job would be extremely difficult with children.
