Minto NSW 25667 to 8 years in the role, current employee
Responsible for managing start-to-end logistical matters for frozen & chilled goods that the company supplies to the largest Australian supermarkets by managing the maintenance, preparation, and routing of purchase orders.
The good thingsI like the people I work with and the company culture. Everyone tries to build a better future in the milling and bakery industry. The Allied Pinnacle leadership team provides an opportunity to grow employees within the company and continuously improve and pursue new ideas.
The challengesThe workload is quite heavy for mid-level staff.

    The challengesPoor supervision, management

    Mill Operator
    Sep 2022
    A very satisfying employment experience.
The good thingsThe job provided a real opportunity to understand the complete wheat milling cycle from receipt of raw product to end production packaging.
The challengesWhilst plant and equipment are quite reasonable, the old building makes simple tasks harder than should be. Very poor training at that time.

What was once a really good place to work have become a disaster. Stay clear of this place. Performance of this business is slipping fast
The good thingsThis company used to be a great place to work, but after the merging of the Pinnacle Baking and the Allied Mills businesses it has become a toxic environment with no one in management able to steer it in any direction but down. There is nothing good about this business at the moment.
The challengesShort term thinking drives all behaviours in this business. Divisions work in silos Customers are not looked after and service to them is not a patch on what it once was The quality of the products are continually being compromised in the pursuit of cost reductions No technical knowledge left in the business Management unable to see problems coming, which then drives reactionary fire fighting decisions No recognition for efforts made No structure to product development Personal development not supported Unable to manage their raw ingredient supply or purchasing Left hand never talks to the right hand Communication about the company strategy from the leadership is non existent
