As far as Labs go, this is the best groupThe good thingsWas given a lot of autonomy within my role, along with very constructive feedback for new ideas.
Workplace was fairly forgiving and understanding of occasional errors, as long as they were not repeated.
Coworkers were decent, though I cannot guarantee everyone I knew is still there. Chill atmosphere, plenty of team unity.
The challengesWithin my particular role, a lot of multitasking was required. While my exact title was Storeperson, I had to also act as Sample Receipt/Lab Maintenance (cleaning) and Lab Worker depending on the days needs and I understand some people might want a more focused role.
Training for other duties was also difficult due to time based constraints place upon the lab and management priorities.
Setting up the warehouse was a bit of a challenge as when I started there wasn't as much structure there, I had to implement some systems that really should have been there earlier. I'm hoping the groundwork I put in has been retained and built on.
In my brief experience working with labs, this was the best but that said the work is still high pressure, with detailed and precise results expected within the quickest possible turnaround.
