Great for a long time, but not anymore. Not far off branches being staffed with whoever they can get.
The good thingsTeam I work in and 5 weeks leave each year
The challengesOut of touch Management, let highly experienced and valuable staff leave without even trying to keep them or listening to the why. Systems are shameful for a company that makes record profits ever year. If you want to go home each day knowing your best is never good enough and opportunities only come your way if you look the part and are a yes person, then this company is for you. For those who value their work, reputation and worth, look elsewhere,.

Was a great place to work, have had opportunities which were great to be apart of. A digital bank is the direction, but always take the long way around. Time to take my knowledge and experience in another direction.
The good thingsThe people I worked with are what kept me there. My manager was very accommodating and was one of the best I have ever worked for and if it wasn't for her I would have left a long time ago. Short commute to work was also an advantage as was free parking.
The challengesIn WA senior management is need of an overhaul, Most are only interested in results in insurance and home loans. Promotion or movement in roles, is difficult unless you look the part and are under 40. Work life balance, if you work in the branches, is just wording used in the job advert. Too many systems, reliability is terrible for a company with billions of dollars of profit annually. Has the potential to be a market leader, but technology, conservative risk approach, lengthy processes and inability to put the right person in the right role, has always hampered any increase in market share.
