I learnt what a poorly run team is because of my time at Arup. I know signs of incompetence and what to avoid. I'm grateful for the experience as it has set me up to know what is good for me for the rest of my career. The good thingsBecause of the lack of capable team members I was able gain skills quickly, by teaching myself and subsequently became a company expert in these areas.
The challengesTerrible manager, punished me for working over time, but demanded it. No competent employees were available to review my work and due to my inexperience, what we submitted to the client was utter garbage. Given impossible deadlines. The pay was not good either.
