    Horrendous place to work at!
The good things- good people, lots of opportunities to socialise with colleagues. - good learning and development opportunities
The challenges- bad management - I was made redundant without any notice so bad company culture. That is why dont recommend working here overall, Unstable and unreliable company. - No transparency and management needs to work on empathy and leadership skills

    Management..
The good thingsOne of the best payroll softwares to use. The people and team environment.
The challengesUpper management has no idea how to people manage, take no accountability, quick to throw blame and have no care for their employees. High workload low resources. Managers will be favoured over employees every time.

Great people with a challenging yet rewarding environment
The good thingsCollaborating with my colleagues, who are friendly, open to ideas and have a wealth of collective intelligence and experience have really made my time so far quite enjoyable. The work can be quite complex and challenging, but solving complex and challenging is what we do well. Further to this, with the event surroundings COVID-19 and subsequent lockdowns, Aurion was on the front foot of leveraging technology to support a dispersed workforce during these lockdowns. What resulted was a significant pivot from most businesses suffering heavy job losses to reduce costs and keep the business afloat to leaning into and embracing this change, investing in people and technology to ensure a minimal impact to our customers and ourselves.
The challengesNavigating the ever changing landscape of Payroll and Human Resources is challenging for a business, let alone for a software business keeping up with legislation changes and solutions for our customers.

One of the best development experiences so far.
The good thingsAs a developer, I find that Aurion has one of the best work cultures that I ever experience. The teammates are really helpful and respect each other. The managers are fun to work with. The great location in the heart of the Toowong Village makes travel to work very easy.
The challengesWe have challenges every day at work that we need to think about to solve the problems for our customers, which are the good thing that keep you interested and allow you to learn a lot of things in a short amount of time.

The challengesScaling up teams, so need to be flexible/understanding that things are getting set up.

Nice place to work with friendly people
The good thingsThe people are great - everyone respects each other and there's a real spirit of friendship and collaboration.
The challengesThere's a lot of change all the time (which is good, it's a growing company) but it can be hard to navigate all the time.

Had a great time working here, and enjoyed the wide variety of work.
The good thingsThe people genuinely care for each other and their customers. Solid investment in, and loyalty toward staff. From my experience there is reward for those who put the effort in.
The challengesI'm being a little picky, but for a software company with its kind of success, the head office looks pretty dated.

Optimistic, Aurion has the potential to become Brisbane's next best software company.
The good thingsI enjoy working with my team. They're good people. Willing to take risks, and challenges head on. Aurion has spent 2019 investing a lot into the training of it's people, they've updates their procedures and ready to take on the future.
The challengesPrior to 2019 there was a distinct lack of leadership, and when it came to cutting costs they looked towards their people first.

The good thingsGreat work life balance, plenty of opportunities to make your mark and broaden your experience for those willing to put the hard yards in.
The challengesStructural changes over the past few years have meant some processes have become redundant and new ones need to be implemented

Challenging, rewarding and soul crushing all in one
The good thingsAn opportunity to quickly gain valuable skills which can elevate your career. Employees are fun, supportive and understanding.
The challengesSink or swim environment. Little training provided. It's like being in a controlling relationship. You are beaten down into thinking you couldn't do better anywhere else so you stay with what you know. On the flip side, you gain so much knowledge and skill and this will definitely help your career. Be prepared to sell your soul for the experience though.

A fantastic career opportunity that I will always be grateful for.
The good thingsMy role at Aurion was the most rewarding job I have had in my career thus far, I was always very proud to tell people about my role and the company. I always found Management listened and took on board new ideas and were very encouraging. The training was in depth, and further team mentoring provided me with the opportunity to do extremely well in this role. As cliched as it sounds, my team really was a supportive, happy family.
The challengesI found none here different to any other position I held prior or after. Payroll is a very high pressure, demanding environment which of course doesn't suit everyone, but there is a great deal of job satisfaction to be had.

Overall great place to work with great people
The good thingsGetting to work with some amazingly talented and passionate people. It's great to see there are Aurion users who are genuine fans of the product. This really says a lot about a software company. Management is supportive and encouraging and are driving some strong initiatives to keep the company moving forward. It's the kind of workplace where you can be yourself.
The challengesIn any high performing business, there are the pressures of hitting tough targets. No exception at Aurion but that's what makes the work meaningful and challenging.
