A fun and supportive workplace that encourages personal and professional growth
The good thingsThe company is super supportive with career progression & development, the team at site is very encouraging & everyone works together to achieve the same goal. It's actually enjoyable to come to work!
The challengesWork load is based on awarded contracts so shift patterns can go up & down, but the company does it's best to keep a steady stream of work and keep the site groups together

Supportive and flexible workplace with a great culture, where the role is engaging and have been given opportunities for development.
The good thingsIt’s a really supportive place to work with a great team culture and a flexible approach to work. The role is interesting, and I’ve had the chance to grow through training and development opportunities that have really helped me in my role.
The challengesIt can get quite busy at times, which can be challenging but also keeps things interesting and fast-paced.

Adaptive, inclusive, flexible work arrangements, fun office environment
The good thingsGreat leadership and management that is engaged with its employees, listens to new ideas and different ways of doing things. Big focus on building a diverse and inclusive workforce and recognises and rewards employees and celebrates successes.
The challengesBusiness systems and process are still being built and created but this also allows employees a chance to offer input into what this looks like.

Hard work, poor management, every quality issue is a person related problem, not process related.
The good thingsWage includes lunch and meal break, so you only work 8 hours
The challengesPoor supervisory and planning, employee doesn't know what shift they are doing from week to week until Friday or Saturday, doesn't allow employee to plan for care for children when both partners are working,

When I was there I enjoyed every minute. Not the same I believe unfortunately.
The good thingsGreat challenges, great team to work with. Was there for 12 years and loved all that time. Unfortunately with new parent company, lost my position.
The challengesWorking with staff in all the states and NT, gaining the confidence of suppliers in new towns the company opened factories in. Katherine, Tenant Creek while doing the Alice to Darwin Rail Link and Townsville were a factory was build for a specific contract then pulled down as with the factories in the NT.

    dirty hard work, friendly people
The good thingsHelpful management, good money for those working full shifts. Indigenous friendly employer.
The challengesNo female labourers and very few older men. Most are labour hire. Good when the work is on but when it slows, people have to go. Could benefit from having proper change rooms with showers, as people get off shift often covered in grime and drive home in the car like that.
