Get your hours up! And when you do pop the cork on a bottle of champagne and toast your resilience.
The good thingsThe pat on the back l gave myself for surviving such a stifling workplace.
The challengesSadly you can feel the repressive environment of the organisation at every level! It’s truly palpable! The workplace is a revolving door where people come and go! There’s no stability! No knowledge base which longer term can impact areas such as profitability and safety. Internal conflicts are common in an autocratic fuelled management. Sadly management even air their dirty laundry in the presence of staff which is highly unprofessional.

A place with a strong safety focus, solid training, and a supportive team.
The good thingsThe safety culture here is top-notch. If you ever need to call a no-go, it’s fully respected. There's a strong support network between pilots, ops, and engineering, and the aircraft are modern and well-maintained. Plus, the training and checking standards are high, which is great for career progression in a GA setting.
The challengesAccommodation in Broome can be pricey and a bit tricky to sort out. The company does try to help where they can, but it's just part of the deal with working in a remote spot.
