    Totally Disgusted and confused
The good thingsSome of my coworkers and my customers
The challenges part time staff only 4 hours guaranteed for those not in the clique . Career-blocking behaviour, which not only result in low employee engagement, lack of psychological safety, high turnover, and low performance, but also contribute to worker burnout, stress, depression, and self-doubt.

I am very happy being part of Avivo. I love the language Avivo uses ("colleagues" and not "employees"; "working with" and not "working for" us - just a couple of examples).
The good thingsGreat culture; Avivo walks the walk and talks the talk whilst working on continuous improvement; Avivo is moving away from traditional hirarchies; I love what Avivo stands for
The challengesThere is always challenges, however, Avivo listens to their colleagues and is continously working to change for the better

My experience with Avivo has been life changing it has allowed me to achieve so many goals in my life I am forever grateful for all I have learnt.
The good thingsAvivo has so many opportunities for employees to grow within the company. I started off as a support worker for Avivo almost 6years ago. I then became a Team Facilitator and spent over 3years in the role and learnt so much along the way. I have recently started a new journey as a service coordinator at avivo. There’s so many benefits working for Avivo that I can’t list them all. But I will list a few.. A Supportive team environment, employee assistance program, employee development plans, coaching, up skilling, training, employee mint nominations, team bonding opportunities, salary sacrifice, yearly well-being days and to top it off we host great events 😊
The challengesNDIS funding limits have been extremely difficult for our customers, employees and the company.

An organisation that truly values the individual and wants to do the right thing.
The good thingsAvivo culture is amazing! Everyone committed to our purpose and everyone caring about each other. Real commitment to flexibility, to hearing feedback, to caring about your mental health and well being.
The challengesFunding, NDIS, computer systems. The workload can also be challenging but that's also an opportunity for growth - how to say no, how to manage priorities.

The challengesFunder restraints, (NDIS) providers struggle to stay sustainable, customers not getting the support they require.

Team Ellenbrook management have been outstanding so far.
The good thingsAvivo are a very family friendly company to work for.
The challengesAllowing staff to work across more than one area could assist them to increase hours. Unfortunately i am seeking additional employment due to not many hours being available on my available work days in my area.

My experience with starting my role with Avivo has been positive from the outset, very professional, inclusive and supportive team environment!
The good thingsAvivo is living in the now! Implementing and actively demonstrating their drive towards maintaining a holistic approach in providing a long lasting impression and beneficial customer and employee experience.
The challengesThe Hybrid Work model is fantastic. Though at times it can be a challenge, especially when working in the office and you end up being the only person in your team there. In the traditional way of working everyone was guaranteed to be in the office so you knew they were there and real time face to face contact was the norm, now it's an online video call or message or email.

In all my career; AVIVO has been my most loved and missed employer.
The good thingsI absolutely loved working for this company and only left as it wasn't holistic to my own personal work / life balance. You will not find a better, nor more supportive company in community care.
The challengesWhen I faced challenges; this company fully supported me through them.

Zero regard for middle to lower class level employees. High expectations with less resources and not much regard of staff well being. Pay is just way too low for the job required.
The good thingsPeopls have a strong drive to actually make a difference in the community and they have a strong passion for the job.
The challengesPay for the job required by management does not match. Expectations are too high with little resources and care of the staff actually getting the job done.

My time with Avivo remains the best working time I've ever had.
The good thingsThe good things about Avivo were: The support workers are well looked after, good environment to work, no discrimination, benefits are given when due, support workers are given priority and are treated with respect. What I enjoyed most was good and safe environment provided by the management for support workers.
The challengesI cannot remember any difficulty. I was always looking forward to going to work.

Great experience, training and flexibility. Avivo will also promote Support Workers to Team Facilitator and Coordinator so great career opportunities. Some fantastic people working at Avivo and customers, but also some not so good workers/customers who ca
The good thingsSome amazing customers, flexibility, salary packaging, EAP, support from colleagues, great training.
The challengesGoing through a disruptive organisational & technology restructure and support workers and team facilitators are expected to become “all-rounders” instead of specialised Mental Health, Aged Care and Disabilities Workers. Support Workers are now limited to working in “neighbourhoods” which restricts their hours - not able to work outside the neighbouring suburbs. Customers can now only choose Support Workers from the team in their neighbourhood (some teams only have 5 SWs!) Some difficult customers who have to be appeased. Hard for support workers to budget with hourly rate and hours can drop at any time. Too many managers who keep changing the rules and creating needless bureaucratic tasks.

Excellent client experiences but very low wages
The good thingsThe clients you get to support is varied and sometimes way too much fun to be called work.
The challengesLow hourly rate and your client can cancel at any stage - if outside 24hrs you don't get paid within 24hrs you get 1/2 the hourly rate. Hard to budget.
