You will experience the best and worst that law firms have to offer!
The good thingsSome great people, including some partners and lawyers, who geuninely want to run a successful business with a human side. Opportunities to meet and work with people from all over the world.
The challengesRegular, highly disruptive staff restructures every few years, driven by the US and Asia, meaning that individuals and whole teams are let go almost overnight. Little thought given to the personal trauma or lack of trust this has, meaning that those people left are constantly wondering if they are next. No incentive to seek a long term career or senior roles in business services. Previous collegiate atmosphere being subsumed to constant and ongoing pressure on lawyers to generate more profit for partners.

Great people, Not the best management
The good thingsVery down to earth people, no hierarchy- everyone was treated well, Amazing social aspect at the firm and some teams were a dream to work for.
The challengesVery limited formal training for new starters, can be a little bit gossipy, some teams were toxic.

Good learning experience, but not a good firm culture.
The good thingsThe benefits were good, lots of discounts for some high end brands. Massages in the work place and good social events.
The challengesBeing in a team where people were very two faced and different when not in the group.

Looks good from the outside. From the inside, it's a mess.
The good thingsNice office. A few good people.
The challengesVery high staff turn over. Working with specific people is difficult and unpleasant. No proper professional development. Will put you down on errors rather than provide useful and constructive criticism. Toxic culture.

    Friendly, global, but frustrating
The good thingsFriendly people, global opportunities (client work and international roles), professional, collegiate
The challengesRe-inventing the wheel on process. Partnership structure and local, regional and global leadership means it takes too long to get things done. No innovation on how to use people's strengths

An all round wonderful place to work.
The good thingsI felt the leadership was ethical and strong, and very supportive to the employees needs. They were all very friendly and it was a lovely working environment.
The challengesThe fact that no two days were the same and that you were given plenty of scope for problem solving.
