    The good thingsFantastic place to work. Lovely staff, well-resources. Staff wellbeing is a priority.

    The challengesExtreme micro management culture which is debilitating. After spending four years there and witnessing the culture I wouldn't return.

    No room for improvement at Barker. Bosses want everything the way it's always been.
    The good thingsThe principal and bursar are the only 2 nice people in that place.
    The challengesYou're working with management who consider themselves part of the furniture and therefore there is no room for you to move up the ladder so to speak. They feel threatened by everything you suggest because it might be better and in return threaten you back by having you fired. I have 2 warnings already for that reason.

    A great school to be at - for education or work
    The good thingsThe school has a great work ethic and amazing resources. You learn and develop a lot as a person by putting in effort.
    The challengesThe school often has teams of students who take part in various projects which can require a lot of man hours. It takes a serious amount of energy to be able to support and guide the students through these, but it's definitely worth the effort.
