    Quality Assurance Role
    Feb 2026
Greenacre NSW 21903 to 4 years in the role, former employee
A nightmare to deal with and working here for any long period of time will give you gray hairs.
The good thingsA fairly common place name that is somewhat infamous/well known in the industry. They have some weight and pull to their brand. Most of the systems have been set up.
The challengesI could say that this had to be one of the worst places I've ever worked in. The quality assurance department was horribly understaffed, undervalued, and largely ignored throughout my tenure at the site. The quality department had one of the highest turnover rates out of everyone, averaging a person leaving (or being fired) every four months - yet nothing was done. There were extremely high expectations to pass complex audits and staff were constantly making mistakes which we had to clean up after - but no support was provided by the managerial side. The site was run by said managers who spent the majority of their time in meetings and possessed little-to-no understanding of actual factory processes. The company steadily grew more profit-favoured; pushing for increased sales and tonnage at the cost of increased mistakes and production errors. The team had the lowest satisfaction rating out of all the other departments and nothing was done to address this. Not worth anyone's time

It's a wild ride but definitely not one that will be good for your sanity in any long term, hence the relatively high turnover rate. Do not join as an officer here or you will be a bottom feeder that answers to everyone.
The good things- Company is fast moving and has lots of work to do. - The QA team have two members which have been there a while and are really 'switched on'. - Free soup and products you can take home.
The challengesThe management of the quality has undergone drastic changes in the last few years and they haven't been managing it well. From juuust getting by as a team of three - with no support from any of the factory, or the management - to now being a team of two coordinators and three managers, I've had to answer to 5 different bosses in the span of a year, and often simultaneously. There's much politicking as you will be the only officer with no other officers to work with or support you, and you'll be constantly juggling different plates to make each superior happy. It's an unusual reverse pyramid which doesn't function well as the majority of actual work still gets done by 2-3 people. There's much pressure to perform and they aren't scared of letting people go on a whim if they can't catch up. The factory workers can be one of your biggest obstacles as well as they'll continue breaking procedure over and over and you're still expected to babysit them instead of their team leaders.

Decent place but needs a solid cleanup of pernicious leadership
The good thingsPay isn't bad, food is diverse, some people are smart and helpful, there is some potential in roles here.
The challengesLeaders tend to be divisive and stubborn, with an air of 'I am appointed leader, so I am right' attitude. Responsibilities are often shifted to separate departments and little change can often be effected. Sever politicking as a result due to entrenched mindsets. "Collaborate for success" is the motto, but this is only followed on paper.
