Best Security was a good firm to work for except there pay rate was not good.
The good thingsWhen you asked for an extra they try hard to accommodate where possible. If your pay was wrong they fixed it straight away or by next pay date.
The challengesVery low hourly rate of pay they should look seriously at that. If the pay rate was the (Security Services Industry award 2010) rate and they had heaps of work I would work for Donna / Best Security. And there was no Part-Time/Full-Time it was only Casual.

The experience of working at such a wide variety of venues was great, but not worth the pay nor dealing with their politics.
The good thingsWorking at different venues, events, and festivals
The challengesHaving to deal with managers who only like the sound of their own voice - Hard to talk to deaf ears.

    Don't fall into the trap
The good thingsGood perks (Free gym use & frequent hands-on training), some of the venues were okay. They will hire anyone, even without experience.
The challengesPay is below award wage, roster changes at short notice, low hours, terrible management across the board.

The good thingsConfidence building, team building. Hands on training in groups for an hour at least. Gym facility is free for best security staff.
The challengesPatience, and enduring short or long periods of standing. 24/7 on call availability. Being able to make your own judgment in any situation.
