What’s it like working at Betty's Burgers?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the welcoming and friendly team culture at Betty's Burgers, often describing it as a family-like atmosphere where colleagues support one another. The generous 50% staff discount on food is highly valued, and many employees find their managers to be supportive and understanding. Additionally, there are opportunities for career progression within this fast-growing brand for those who are committed to developing their careers with the company.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Work/life balance can be difficult, particularly for managers who may be expected to be available outside of scheduled hours. Labour budgets are tight, which can sometimes result in understaffing during shifts and pressure to manage costs. Rostering can be inconsistent, with some employees receiving fewer hours than anticipated or being scheduled during unavailable times. Some employees have noted concerns with operations management, including communication challenges and frequent management changes. The company maintains high standards and expectations, which can create pressure during busy periods, and full-time opportunities are primarily available within the management team, with casual staff experiencing limited hours and job stability.

    It is Positive — mostly.
The good thingsLeadership team is very caring, fellow team members are all kind.
The challengesLimited shifts are given, staffing levels are bad, shifts are cut short.

    Don't do it to yourself
The good thingsSometimes had great people to work with
The challengesLabour and sales budgets are unattainable without lowering the quality of service to schedule less people on. Contanstly working severely understaffed and leaders are always having breakdowns because of this toxic culture. Operations don't care about anything other than KPIs and hitting targets, high turnover of leaders due to general mistreatment, terrible and over controlling higher ups who clearly do not remember what it's like to actually work in a restaurant.
