poor leadership capability, deteriorating work life baalance or respect
The good thingsI did not experience any standout positives during my time at the company.
The challengesThere was a noticeable disconnect between senior management behaviour and the company’s stated values (PIRLS). Although employee wellness was often emphasised in presentations and communications, this was not reflected in practical actions or measurable improvements.

Genuinely good culture, with development opportunities.
The good things-Everyone is genuinely working to the same overall business goals. -People are friendly and willing to help. - There are opportunities to advance and this aspect is encouraged.
The challenges-Systems and processes require updating to match the size of the business which causes some inefficiency. However this is recognised and being addressed. -The business is truly international, which means many opportunities but at times the business can be too Australia centric despite requirements being different across the many markets.

A health company to make a difference and grow your career
The good thingsComing up to 5 years, I have found Blackmores to be an excellent company, filled with hard working people who push the boundary in all their areas of expertise. I’ve been lucky to learn from different departments who have always been generous with their knowledge to enhance my current role and allow deep team connections and collaboration. I have found the work environment to be flexible and open and for managers to be understanding on personal circumstances such as sick kids or pick up times. All in all, Blackmores is a company that remembers its beginnings but has a keen eye on the future and while they do have room for improvement, it’s great to be part of the movement that will change the health industry for the better.
The challengesThe company experiences its share of challenges common to all that strive for excellence in an ever-changing industry. Deadlines must be met, new markets to explore, unexpected changes and issues to solve. The thing that has always been a testament to Blackmores is no matter the challenge or issue, there are always people and teams to support and help. It is this willingness to support and assist that is part of the companies DNA.

    Supportive culture and global opportunities
The good thingsSuch a great supportive and friendly culture. The Leaders and people are incredibly passionate and really do their best to not only support your development but also your holistic wellbeing. With Blackmores striving to grow across the global markets, it's an incredible opportunity to be able to make a global impact with the work I do.
The challengesBlackmores itself has transitioned to a stage where they are really focusing on growing the business across AU & globally. There is always going to be challenges, but the key thing is that the P&C & Leadership team are always trying to get that feedback and drive improvements across the business.

    Inclusive, respect and flexible workplace
The good thingsBlackmores is an inclusive workplace that promotes respect, support and encouragement. Flexible working arrangements provide an improved work-life balance. Job perks are the onsite cafe and gym. Option to work at two different sites in Sydney. Overall, a very satisfied experience working in a company that is leading the health industry during an exciting time when we are seeing growth and expansion in our International ventures.
The challengesNo real challenges to date.

One of the most caring and flexible employers in Australia!
The good thingsPassionate and supportive leaders who genuinely care about wellbeing and workload. Meaningful role that contributes to the strategic direction of the company. Values-led brand that is a leader in it's field and proudly an Australian manufacturer. Incredible flexibility and work-life balance. I can work from home or from one of our offices as little or as much as I would like to fit around my lifestyle. Gym, cafe, parking at some sites. 20 weeks paid gender-neutral parental leave which is way ahead of most companies!
The challengesThe company grew too fast after it's expansion into China and we are still playing catchup from a systems point of view. Workload can be high, but we are pushing for growth and expanding into new overseas territories. Employees who have been here for a long time seem to resent the growth and changes to the organisation. Other than that, this is one of the best employers in Australia. We see employees who have left wanting to return all the time.

Strong performing global business with lots of opportunity for growth.
The good thingsThis is a health company that values flexible working, life balance and community. Where else can you work in a global company in Sydney's northern beaches or Surry Hills. This provides a great environment to further your FMCG career.
The challengesCulture has changed for the better, moving towards high performance and not resting on legacy. There are some old guard who would prefer things not to change/evolve, can make collaboration challenging.

    Passionate and Caring Culture
The good thingsIf sought, plenty of opportunity to grow your career and stretch. Wonderful, passionate, friendly and helpful colleagues who desire everyone to achieve their best and celebrate everyone's achievements. Excellent company values linked to company awards and benefits. Best in class resources and tools for personal growth, support and maintaining work/life balance. Focus on sustainable growth and reducing impact on our natural environment.
The challengesWorking cross functionally at times and keeping informed of what is happening in other teams that may impact your own areas of responsibility. Communication could be better between colleagues. Need to be proactive and take initiative to overcome this small challenge.

A great team, interesting projects and management to support make Blackmores a very enjoyable place to work.
The good thingsThe people and culture at Blackmores are what makes it! As a team we are collaborating on innovative projects, and being supported by management along the way. The future is looking very bright!
The challengesThere has been some change in structure, however, I do believe that the change has set us up for success in the future.

Loved it at first but too much politics and ineptitude
The good thingsMy immediate team, the office location
The challengesSiloed mentality - scope changes on every role. Roles taken away from people without notice. Inept management with huge egos destroying what was once a great company. The company says it stands for one thing outwardly, but does the opposite to their employees.

Blackmores sold itself on being a great company, it will take time for it to return to it's glory days.
The good thingsMostly good people, staff cafe at Warriewood, pleasant surroundings, nice new inner city campus, great products.
The challengesPolitics, leadership, lack of living the values, haven't kept up with pace of change reflected in poor financial performance and exit of number of people.
