The good thingsI've enjoyed working with my manager at concession (David Jones Chadstone). I was there for 7 years and learned more than just good customer service, professionalism, teamwork and appreciation for your team members.

Blue Illusion is a company that allows me to be an authentic leader. Leadership is a privilege and the leadership team support, lead and mentor all teams. Supporting each other without ego is crucial to the culture of the business, which is why the Brand has such longevity in the team.
The good thingsAmazing leadership team Willingness to evolve and try new things People first focus Collaborative No Red tape
The challengesNavigating the retail space will always pose a challenge, however the way that the Leadership team work through these challenges is exemplary.

A toxic workplace culture where owners over ride a well meaning HR and speaking down to staff in meeting is commonplace.
The good thingsEveryone leaves at 5pm
The challengesVery old-school mentality in terms or working arrangements, perspective of retail and management style. Management need to get to the 21st century and cultural training would also be beneficial for them.

Loved it while I was there
The good thingsAbsolutely LOVED working for blue illusion - just very disappointed when I moved from country to city there was no where to transfer to - I was a manager but would have been happy doing anything to stay working for them
The challengesVery disappointed to find out after I left the company that they do not re- hire staff again, -- the most stupid thing when you have put in so much energy to learn everything to find out that when a position comes up nearby that you get an automated response saying you are unsuccessful - told by current staff that they now do no tree ploy staff ---- very silly of them
