    Could have been better
The good thingsLeaving the joint. I learnt a lot but it was always a case of 2 steps forward, 1 step backwards which becomes frustrating when you wish to achieve an outcome
The challengesDealing with the french. Takes so long to get anything done

One of the worst places I have worked
The good thingsGood pay. Opportunity to work on lots of different projects as a project manager in IT.
The challengesNo work life balance at all. Contractors not allowed to work from home, even under difficult family circumstances. Most implementations out of hours. Not enough resources for projects and the program manager expects the PMs to resolve resource conflicts between them.

My experience with this organisation is one of stress with long hours and unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The good thingsPersonally, I cannot provide any highlight.
The challengesThere is lack of support despite management indicated otherwise. There is constant increase of work and at the same time, there is constant head counts freeze.

    Exhausting and frustrating.
The good thingsMost of the people are great...easy to get on with and professional.
The challengesSeriously understaffed and not willing to change it. You will work very long hours with no appreciation and no paid overtime. Workload is unrelenting. They won't spend money on better systems so a lot of manual work.

Company has no loyalty to staff
The good thingsGreat people to work with at the office and middle management level, they know their job and make the place.
The challengesLeadership team has no idea, only interested in sales to market and self promotion. Poor culture that new program is not addressing.

Great Company to work for, good location, excellent management and good working conditions with reasonable salary.
The good thingsI really enjoyed working at BNP Securities Services. From start I felt welcome in the team and found my Manager and Team Leader to be very supportive and helpful.
The challengesThe monthly fixed asset reconciliation used to be a challenge. This was mainly because of not receiving timely responses from the security holders within a set timeframe and this used to delay completion of the reconciliation on my side. Reminders needed to be sent constantly followed by phone calls and sometimes calling another area to request speeding up the response.

    The bad outweighs the good
The good thingsGood work life balance - generally only work 40 hour weeks, good sporting activities offered, good company wide social and charity days
The challengesLack of career progression. Bonus and pay rise is generally a joke. Strong culture of avoiding accountability at all costs.
