B&R's a great, professional workplace, but with an emphasis on work life balance that is a credit to them as a company. The good thingsB&R was, and I believe still is, a great place to work. It's a family run company with a emphasis on work life balance.
There are very few companies that would bend over backwards to help employees in tight spots, but B&R was always there for me when I needed them. One of the things that comes to mind, was letting me take leave for an extended period when I had to travel overseas to see a sick relative. Although this seems like common decency, not many companies these days will put themselves out like that.
Others things I always enjoyed there included the annual Christmas party, complete with fairground rides etc for the kids, and Santa of course. Also the Christmas hams...huge and delicious, but with other options too if you didn't like ham.
Don't get me wrong here. B&R is not all about fun and times off. There's serious work to be done too as you would expect from Australia's leading enclosure manufacturer. Work at B&R was good too. There is always the opportunity and encouragement for person development and work is process driven but at the same time leaving plenty of room for creativity.
The challengesFor me, meetings are always a challenge anywhere, and B&R like all larger companies has it's fair share of meetings.
