Nearly broke me.
The good thingsThe salary, my colleagues and my students were great.
The challengesThe Board of the school. Welcome to the most micro-managing group of people you will ever encounter. They will dictate your days, make decisions on a whim and if you question them you'll face ongoing performance management reviews or be buried in admin until you break. The fact that they have churned through 7 Principals in 5 years is evidence that the management is broken. If you enjoy teaching and value yourself as a professional, then do not work here.

The good thingsYou will never work with a better group of people. The teaching staff here are second to none, and support each other 100%.
The challengesThe board. They do not have any educational experience and will micro-manage everything you do. If they disagree with something you have done, or if you speak out about their mismanagement, then you will find your work becoming more and more difficult, or you will be dismissed after a trumped-up performance appraisal.
