overall would probably choose a different company if i knew what i was getting myself into.
The good thingsi liked the office and the staff in the office
The challengesThe management gives high favouritism to some people versus others. They do not know how to train newcomers and will speak to you with unprofessional tones and language.

Considering a career within the scaffolding industry, BUILDSAFE is an excellent choice.
The good thingsBUILDSAFE fosters a genuinely supportive and an inclusive environment, underpinned by an exceptional workplace culture that prioritises the well‑being of all staff. The organisation provided myself a comprehensive and well‑structured induction program that has given me consistent guidance throughout the onboarding process and continues to support myself throughout my employment.
The challengesI believe the company has a well‑organised structure that provides strong support to individuals as they begin their employment. The onboarding experience created a sense of familiarity and belonging, making it feel as though I had been part of the organisation far longer than the actual time spent. The workplace carries the warmth and cohesion of a close‑knit, family‑owned business feeling, which adds to its overall positive culture.

Good experience, but weak fatigue management and little focus on staff wellbeing. 14 hour days
The good thingsGreat money and good bunch of blokes
The challenges• Stronger fatigue management practices Clearer enforcement of rest breaks, reasonable hours, and safe workload distribution would support both safety and performance. • Improved leadership capability More consistent management skills, including communication, planning, and on‑site organisation, would help create a more stable work environment. • Greater respect for employee wellbeing A stronger focus on mental health, work–life balance, and understanding staff responsibilities outside of work would improve morale and retention.

Been with Buildsafe for 10 months, head down, tail up & fortunate to be in a position of leadership
The good thingsDynamic, progressive & ever innovative workplace. Positive environment to develop & grow. The scaffolding crew are a blessing to be around. Respectful men who love a good days work. Leadership is easy due to the respect, accountability & standards we set for each other. The support from Branch Manager, Regional Manager, General Manager, Customer Service, Sales, IT, Tech Design, Compliance, Logistics & HR are beyond measurable. Set the tone for business vision & collaborate to action strategies needed for all at Buildsafe to succeed. Realistic & objective mentorship to learn from. Solid EAP support programs for staff, BBQs fortnightly to boost already buzzing culture & clear lineal path for those whom want to have a crack at whatever role within the business!

A supportive, forward-thinking workplace where you can contribute quickly and grow with confidence.
The good thingsFrom day one, I felt genuinely welcomed and well supported. The systems were easy to learn, allowing me to contribute quickly, and the organisation’s openness to innovation and professional growth has been a refreshing and motivating change in my career.
The challengesIntroducing more community or social events could further enhance an already strong and positive office/site culture.

Job security working for a reputable market leader in the construction industry. A dynamic, fast-paced workplace with strong team connections, growth opportunities, and supportive flexibility for working families.
The good thingsInteractive office environment with plenty of opportunities to connect on a personal level. Great growth opportunities for high achievers, and a fast-paced, ever-changing organisation. Flexible and supportive for working families — my manager has always allowed a give-and-take approach so I can attend school events for my children. I also really value the close-knit bond I share with my team.
The challengesThe fast-paced, ever-changing environment isn’t for everyone. There have also been some restructures within certain departments, which naturally created a bit of tension. That said, we’re now in a rebuilding phase and working towards greater stability and alignment.

Waste of time, no “team” culture, everyone out for themselves.
The good thingsSome of the people make the days better, lots of free lunches.
The challengesManagement is terrible and HR won’t change a thing. Whatever is making the business money is all they seem to care about. Most people have been burning themselves out for years and it’s either not noticed or ignored. This company is all politics, if you’re friends with upper management, and if you keep your mouth shut.

Be aware. Promises of full time/permanent work will only ever be that. 5 years with this company, was reviewed once after 3 years casual work, averaging 50 hrs a week and never met requirements to prosper further. Willing to be used and burned than id recommended fully. Otherwise avoid!!
The good thingsWork outside, always on the move. But also can be taken advantage of.
The challengesFiguring out what to do basically from day one. Nil to no training provided by any managerial positisions only from whoever you happen to be thrown in a truck with.. Pyramid of authority. Alot of passing the buck that seems to somehow fall on the lowest level employees, started from the bottom worked my way up. Shared use of scaffolding tickets and names. (Even when you aren't in).

The good thingsStrong team focus, lots of fun outings, actual dedicating training time with trainer
The challengesLack of support from management once training completed, staff seem content to be miserable at work and poorly planned processes resulting in all staff being overworked
