Good people who like to have fun and get the job done!
The good thingsA welcoming and supportive team with a well-organised approach. The business genuinely values its people, recognising contributions and ensures good support systems are in place.
The challengesCashies is a fascinating, multi-faceted business that offers far more than many people realise, and I think some miss the opportunity because of misconceptions.

My store manager and the team occasionally have conflicts, but I believe he’s a good person. I understand he pushes us to our limits with purpose. I just hope he becomes more aware of the team’s efforts and offers feedback and praise in a more genuine and empathetic way. (I know he’s trying, so much in fact, but sometimes stress gets the best of him.)
The good thingsMy team are like family to me when I was working at Prahran.
The challengesAside from dealing with rude customers daily, the store’s targets are quite unreasonable. Each department has its own goal, but commision only apply if the whole store meets its target. So even if you triple your own target, you get nothing if others fall short. Also,I didn’t like the group chat! 🙃

12 years of my life I will always look upon fondly- my second family.
The good thingsThe amazing culture The vision and inclusivity of the business The common theme that people that work here are genuinely passionate about helping people.
The challengesThe attitude of people external to Cash Converters that haven’t taken the time to understand the amazing benefits provided to community that Cash Converters offers.

Super glad I took the opportunity to work at Cashies
The good thingsThe culture at Cashies Head Office is amazing. The people are down to earth, friendly and just get the job done. For me, I've been able to work in & with different departments which has made my time at Cashies really interesting, and I've leant and grown as a person. They throw some really great events too!
The challengesIn my role there's a lot to learn, a lot of policies and procedures to follow however once you've got that down it's fine.

    awful would never recommend
The good thingsWorking with a good selection of products, and some collogues.
The challengesmanagement don't address issues and expect team members to put up with uncomfortable and unfair situations, will gas light you to make you feel as if you're in the wrong, Manger and Retail manger very toxic relationship, abusing each other all the time. no incentives, make you feel unappreciated and undervalued. Some people get by doing nothing, while others get stuck with all the work load ,poor team work between departments. Little to no support from the management team as they are clicky, they seem to care very little about their employees well being and are very quick to undermine lower tier employees if it benefits upper management. Would rather keep a horrible employee that doesn't give a sh\t about the company and treat the employees that actually care and put effort in like dog sh\t

The good thingsWhen we were francise it was awesome, Very strong mangament and great work environment, Then it was taken over and it was a nightmare, management was terrible and so was the higher ups.

The last 5 reviews are from HR trying as usual to cover up the business woes with fake reviews, the writings on the wall listen to what your staff are saying.
The good thingsCustomers are great and diverse.
The challengesManagement and HR or "people and culture" are clueless to the staff turnover and business woes and feed the grinder.

    Loved it!
The good thingsCashies is a business where you learn so much! You get to practice skills that are with you for life. The amount of job variety that is made available through a vast network of stores all with multiple departments allows for a wonderful environment to grow. The company has a strong desire to promote from within that has seen a large number of people grow from store management through to multi-site management role as well as other streams such as personal finance, loss prevention (operational assurance) and people & culture (HR). The team take pride in their work for both customers and their team. I will treasure my time at Cashies and definitely encourage people to try it out. I was blessed with fantastic leadership that really made a difference for my career and my life. A big Aussie grown success story!
The challengesAs with any big corporate business, there are many layers to the organisation and many different functions. This takes a concerted effort, to ensure that the team is united. Whilst having different priorities, all working together to achieve the shared goals. Taking care of the team to take care of the customers.

Welcoming, supportive and full of opportunities.
The good thingsGreat work-life balance opportunities and fantastic office culture, supportive with a focus on learning and overcoming new challenges.
The challengesIn my role there are a lot of systems to learn, but while this is a challenge it has also lead to some amazing chances at learning and growth in my own knowledge.

My experience working for Cashies was nothing but great. I have never worked for another company which was as diverse and supportive as them. Thank you Cashies for the great experience!
The good thingsThey provided a supportive and collaborative work environment, and I appreciated the opportunities for professional growth. The team was fantastic, and I’m grateful for the valuable skills I gained during my time there.
The challengesThe company had many different systems that wouldn’t interfere with one another, however, Cashies was all about improvement and I know everyone has been working hard to improve any inefficiencies, including myself at the time.

    I loved working @ Cashies, it’s awesome
The good thingsThe culture is inclusive, fun, collaborative, respectful, with good values, supportive management, great development opportunities and training programs. The remuneration is more than reasonable, their people are important to them and the Cashies team are second to none.
The challengesSometimes working with the public, however that is similar in all Retail roles.

I loved my team at Cashies, great work/life balance, good benefits and surrounded by passionate people really do care. Although I have moved on since, Cashies built me into the professional that I am today and I appreciate all the opportunities they provided me with throughout my time with them.
The good thingsAmazing culture, team environment, passionate and proud to have been a part of Cashies family.
The challengesLarge business, sometimes have silos in teams.

Nice view looking out. Bad view looking in.
The good thingsGood staff discount. Nice new office, great end of trip facilities, short walk to the train station and bus station. Kitchen and breakout space is awesome! Understaffed, so you can get hired pretty easily. If you keep your head down and just do the minimum you can stay here for years. If enough people leave you will get a promotion, they let anyone be a manager. It's a good job to have while you look for other career opportunties.
The challengesSo much double handling, you rely on key people to get things done, instead of good systems. L&D delivery is stuck in the 00s, very basic staff development available. Some people cruise by doing nothing, while others get stuck with all the work. poor team work between departments. Anyone with any spark ends up going, just like the review said in Feb 21, if you "don't fit the mould you won't do well." Turn over and workloads are really high. There's just a flat, depressing vibe in the air. Head office wrote the values, but they don't live by them.

Overall a very poor experience within a decent team that is managed by leadership that is barely able to get dressed in the morning.
The good thingsThe people you work with are for the most part in the same boat as you are. By the way it’s a boat with many holes and the management team only has the skill set to plug the holes with tissue paper.
The challengesMeeting targets that are unreachable within a team that is too large and then trying to juggle the task of managing sales with merchandising of which most staff only focus on sales.

Good company, good management and pleasant working environment which I enjoy.
The good thingsA well set up store with a wide variety of items for sale on the retail floor and jewellery department under good management
The challengesLearning the new system which is the direct opposite to systems I have been trained in that provides for fair accreditation of sales and customer leads. Having to always ask manager or senior staff for every discount approval. Losing sales to another staff in unfair circumstances due to the system setup relating to password protection.
