Inconsistent policies that leave employees at a disadvantage
The good thingsSome colleagues are friendly, and I gained basic work experience.
The challengesThere are noticeable inconsistencies in how working hours and leave entitlements are applied.
Previously, when employees were not required to work on a public holiday, they were paid based on their usual weekly working hours. This has now been changed to a flat rate of 7.65 hours for all employees, regardless of their normal schedules.
At the same time, when taking annual leave or sick leave, the hours deducted are based on scheduled working hours, while payment remains capped at 7.65 hours. From my perspective, this creates a clear imbalance and may leave employees effectively undercompensated, especially those who work longer hours.
In addition, access to annual leave can be limited in practice, even when leave balances are available, which may impact work-life balance.
The company claims to provide hot meals, but in reality, food is often insufficient, with trays frequently left nearly empty, leaving staff with limited or no options.
