Genuine Hell on EarthNever work here. Casuals are rarely given shifts and if they are they are expected to have high numbers despite no real training and no customers!!! No safety for workers constantly have customers threatening and abusing us and we just have to deal with it. Managers are forced to work 5-6 day weeks on register every day. Often would spend hours of the day alone in an unsafe store. Store I worked at was full of mold and it would make our workers sick and upper management never helped!

Do Not Work For Cheap As Chips
The good thingsTeam were ok, they lack retail knowledge.
The challengesPoor procurement planning combined with dismissive senior leaders who are unqualified and have poor communication/planning skills. The business is driven by a CEO who has a track record of running businesses into the ground.

I had a good time and overall it is a good environment to work at. I left due to new structure and new role is not suitable for me.
The good thingsEvery team member/staff are very friendly and helpful, they will give you advise and help you with whatever you need. There are plenty of chances to grow within the company.
The challengesCan be quite stressful when keeping up with the ordering and time frame, chasing supplier etc.

Great employer for fresh and new employees looking for a start in the workforce with flexibility to achieve and broaden their horizons.
The good thingsMeeting a range of friendly people to work with on a daily basis. Casual working environment. Achievable deadlines in any given day. Felt part of a team. Very inclusive employer. Learning fresh skill sets outside of comfort zone.
The challengesAdapting to more advanced processes, for example: stock counting and returns from split walls. Some mathematical difficulties or confusion of some procedures resulting in discrepancies.

Love my team but the physical and mental demand of the business and poor working conditions isn't worth it.
The good thingsThe team I work with are amazing
The challengesImpossible budget targets with minimal staffing and the constant guilt of working above your salary and not get time in lou or over pay.

No stock control at all, upper management dont care for employees or customers, only care for what goes in their pockets. Wont even fix an aircon in store. No such thing as work life balance, dont get your hours back even though they have time in lue. Do not work for them.
The good thingsThe staff and customers
The challengesThe expectations that are put on you, management are expected to do everything.
