Run away as fast as you can
    The good thingsDiscounts, Global Company
The challengesWant to live in constant fear of losing you job in yet another restructure? Well you've found the perfect place. Management and Head Office are completely out of touch and throw subordinates under the bus to cover up their own failings.

I had a disappointing experience with Cheil's recruitment process for the Senior Data Analyst position. After two successful rounds of interviews, I was informed that the final stage would involve a team conversation. Consider your goals and manage your expectations, as there may be delays, requirement changes, and limited communication. Make informed decisions about your career path and be mindful of your time and efforts during the application process.
The good thingsI had a disappointing experience with Cheil's recruitment process for the Senior Data Analyst position. After two successful rounds of interviews, I was informed that the final stage would involve a team conversation.
The challengesAfter waiting for a month, I received a notification that the job requirements had changed, and they were no longer pursuing the position. This sudden shift disregarded our initial agreement and wasted candidates' valuable time and effort. I advise caution when applying to this company, as their process may lack clarity and waste your time. It's disheartening to invest in an application only to face a lack of transparency and direction.

The high staff turnover isn't a coincidence
The good thingsCheil offers salaries comparable to other agencies
The challengesHigh staff turnover due to culture. People leaving all the time is disruptive to projects. Frequent restructures Inflexibility - minimum 3 days per week at Olympic Park office. 5 days for some teams. Unusual policies, eg work laptop/phone is uninsured and employees are expected to pay for repair or replacement for accidental damage Perks such as city office, subsidised gym membership and number of flexible working days are announced then immediately reduced or rescinded.

    Dysfunctional
The good thingsMy work colleagues were great. Paid incredibly well, but in the end, it wasn't worth the constant grief.
The challengesMicro-management and the work culture. Never got a straight answer from the client - if you did what they wanted, they complained one never challenged them. And if you questioned them, they complained one never gave them what they asked for. Nightmare.

My experience has been pretty good overall, I've enjoyed the responsibility I've been given and I love going into the office and talking to everyone.
The good thingsThe people are really nice and friendly, and the Samsung discounts are really good.
The challengesThere are periods where there is a lot of work to do in a short amount of time and then periods where there is a lot of downtime.

The good thingsNice people, young energy and great company culture to work with. Good discounts and benefits too.
The challengesThe agency life can sometimes be stressful due to client pressure and there are also periods of downtime

Great agency with a diverse, fun and talented group of people.
The good thingsCheil has a great team of people who are really friendly, kind and supportive. Projects we worked on have been great and the samsung benefits are a added plus. The two offices is great for flexibility too.
The challengesOlympic park location is a little inconvenient.

Amazing place to learn and grow your career.
The good things- The program is structured well with smooth onboarding process - Lots of ground and opportunity for growth and development in your career path - The team members are friendly and supportive with assigned mentors to learn at much as you could during the program - Great chance to work with big clients like Samsung (amazing discounts to Samsung products) - Clean, comfortable office with adequate social spaces
The challengesThe office location is abit hard to get to if you don't have a car or a driver's license, but the agency is flexible with WFH so not a big issue.

It has been a great experience so far because I am continuing to develop and learn in my role. I also love to be a part of a company that is in its growth phase.
The good thingsGreat and positive working environment. Work with passionate individuals and there is a solid team spirit. I get to learn lots from the team, across all divisions. I am still developing in my role which is a plus, as I like to work somewhere that can challenge me.
The challengesNot so many negative points to talk about. It is a growing company and so changes are taking place constantly. The team is working in other areas for support, but that is expected in a growing company. Cheil is working on this too, currently recruiting new people.

Working at Cheil has allowed me to immerse myself in a creative, friendly and supportive organisation.
The good thingsWorking for Cheil has been such a rewarding experience. My mentors and head of division have provided me with numerous opportunities to enhance my skill set as an intern, including managing small-medium projects and aiding with larger ones. From HR to my team, everyone has been extremely warm and supportive.
The challengesCheil is still growing in Australia, so work sometimes laps over between departments, however this has decreased substantially as more people have been recruited.

A super educational and overall fun experience!
The good thingsEveryone is super friendly and welcoming. You are given tasks that teach you industry relevant skills and are provided with amazing support to learn.
The challengesAs the company is growing rapidly, changes come often and fast. Sometimes hard to adapt in a fast paced environment.

    Very collaborative and supportive team.
The good thingsAmazing supportive team culture! There's been a big push for team culture over the past few years, with a lot of team celebrations, events etc. Brand new office, free parking, flexibility (WFH Wednesdays), Lunch & Learn with free lunches, Friday afternoon drinks, awesome discounts on Samsung products, lots of focus on recognising achievements.
The challengesVery busy environment, so if you like a fast-paced role you won't be bored.

Rewarding experiences with amazing colleagues in your level of the business that lead to valuable skills learners for those exploring a wide range of corporate career avenues.
The good thingsBloody you beaut group of people to work with on the front line, field team bands together with one shared goal. Great tools of the trade provided, all the latest, cutting edge tech and time on the open road.
The challengesDemanding and constantly shifting expectations from the very top of the command chain. Managing these priorities with your many accounts can be taxing and at times your wellbeing can come under pressure for that of the business. Representing a large corporation and remaining aligned with any and all decisions made - sometimes affecting the well-being of customers.

Definitely made valuable friendships with some and also learnt a valuable lesson on which type of Business senior level to avoid.
The good thingsSome staff were great and fun to work with.
The challengesCertain senior management members were the worst to work with. The accounts team have the highest turnover but nothing is ever done about it. The accounts team leader is where the problem starts and ends.

Looks great on the CV, you'll spend all your pay on the employee discounted products, but you'll get bored on the job.
The good thingsIncredible employee discount, hands-on with devices before release, lots of freedom.
The challengesThe Galaxy Brand Expert role is subject to the store in which you are placed's conditions. I was often placed in Telstra stores which would only allow me to stand in one corner and only talk to customers when asked by a Telstra employee, which left me without a task for hours on end.

    Great local team, terrible HR
The good thingsGreat local team, friendly office, and the Samsung products are AMAZING.
The challengesHR is a pain, getting commission is like trying to get blood from a stone. Bad communication with staff and miscommunication between departments. Unreasonable with training KPI's for the products/Retail Staff- New products/models only launch once a year, yet you're expected to conduct current training 8 months down the line when there is no new developments and there was intensive training for the first month of the product upgrade/release.
