Have fun and keep a journal to write down all your notes. It's a lot to digest so stay organised. In hindsight, it's a great experience but challenging. You'll learn a lot about what you like and don't like when you come out of the job. Cheers to growth! The good thingsIt's an incredible experience to be part of the French luxury brand. I met amazing people there and still keep in contact with most. You'll learn a lot in a short time frame before you are allowed to sell on your own. The Chadstone boutique is a beautiful store to work in. Lots of seating areas which is great for clients. Enjoy every achievement at Dior and don't forget to breathe and have a bit of fun!
The challengesThe challenges include the workload, e.g. the transaction process is not the most convenient to keep it short, and following up with clients does take a good chunk of your personal time, hence, the "work-life balance" is not the greatest. Hot tip: Set boundaries so you don't burn out, e.g. book appointments with clients when you're working not on your days off. The workspace in the back is small and is stressful to pack expensive bags during the Christmas period.
The management style is a little cutthroat so have thick skin and work at your own pace. Ask for help when you need it, don't keep it to yourself :)
