    The best touring company in the world!
    The good thingsWorking for CDS is a wonderful opportunity for those passionate about this company. I was lucky enough to be selected as a cirquador, which means I get to follow the circus around on their Australian leg of the tour. It's just like a working holiday. The hours are manageable, the people are incredibly fun to work with, and there's plenty of down time to explore the city you're in, or go on a little road trip. I made friends for life, and it's really catapulted my career in live events ever since. I loved it so much, I do every tour they have here.
    The challengesIf you do decide to follow the circus, it's out of your own pocket. Which I can understand from a business perspective. But it's worth mentioning that they only secure your employment, not travel, accommodation or expenses. So it can get a little expensive.

    I can’t think of a better place to work.
    The good thingsWorking with amazing people every shift and meeting new people from around that world that all shared the same passion for the company and show.
    The challengesYou can’t always get along with everyone you work with but that’s part of every job, and overall it definitely did not outweigh the amazing experience.

    It was a great experience, people are very hard working and friendly. I learnt a lot along the way and appreciated the art of the circus. This is a field I would like to be part of and this experience has definitely exposed me to the work involved within
    The good thingsMy supervisor wawas very helpful, outgoing, informative and a very down to earth manager. She guided me along the way and communication was always strong.
    The challengesThe working hours at first but then I adapted to it. Managing a big team ffrom ushers, front of house etc and communicating with them. It was an interesting challenge but was able to work well with them.

    The job of a lifetime! I just wish it was permanently in my hometown, or they had selected me to work in the next city
    The good thingsGetting to see the show every night, sometimes twice a night! Discount on merchandise,one free ticket and discounts for family and friends
    The challengesSometimes guests were difficult to deal with, and you could never be prepared for every situation (if an artist was injured on stage, if there was a storm and the tent leaked onto the audience) sometimes you wouldn't get the weeks roster until the day before.

    The management were friendly and well organised, but it was disappointing that they could not issue the employees some certificate of recognition of our efforts while in Brisbane

    The good thingsThe diverse range of people you meet, the array of different roles that you can have, and the creative atmosphere all combine to create a magical and memorable experience.
    The challengesTravelling with a company can be quite challenging for someone who prefers a stable working environment but if you open your mind to it, it can be quite a rewarding part of your life.
