A solid place to work if you want support, growth, and a positive environment.
The good thingsA Flexible workplace with a modern, connected setup that makes day‑to‑day work pretty smooth. The team is inclusive and welcoming, and there are plenty of chances to grow if you’re keen to build your skills or expand your knowledge. One thing I really appreciated was the strong culture around respect where intimidatory behavior isn’t tolerated, and people are held accountable for the actions that compromise it.

A Culture of Control, Bureaucracy, and Leadership Failure.
The good thingsThis workplace has deteriorated into a culture of poor leadership, favouritism, and suffocating bureaucracy. New management is empowered not to lead or support, but to police workers through micromanagement and control. Creativity, practical experience, and effective strategy are treated as threats, particularly when they expose managerial insecurity.
The challengesFor seasoned professionals, especially horticulturalists, the ability to apply flair, creativity, and design expertise to enhance community spaces is now a thing of the past. Open spaces are stripped back to bland uniformity, dictated by managerial taste rather than professional capability. Pride, innovation, and community impact have been replaced by compliance. As real talent has left, the workforce is compromised by a lack of experienced professionals and increasing reliance on inexperienced labour. Only a few remain who genuinely know what they’re doing. Leadership once had advocates who tried to stay connected to workers and maintain trust, but they were squeezed into choosing bureaucratic loyalty over moral judgment. That choice proved disastrous, leaving division, backstabbing, and a two-faced culture firmly in place. Leadership protects itself first — workers last.

The challengesBalancing resources to satisfy competing priorities between external and internal stakeholders.
