Great foot in the door and thats about it!
The good thingsPassengers were more friendly than actual crew.
Only positive thing about working for this company is, it is a foot in the door towards working in Cabin Crew
The challengesSome Crew are just horrible, pay is pretty much monthly, no public holiday rates and mangement treat you like nobody.

After more than 8 years I've watched Cobham slowly decline.
The good thingsI enjoy shift work. Most shifts are about 8hrs

Fantastic and clever work colleagues, excellent environment to learn (on your own), poor top management, not interested in aviation.
The good thingsInteresting work, great colleagues, treated like a responsible person.
The challengesVery poor management. Stuck over in their ivory towers, I am sure they do not even know or want to know about aircraft and operating an aviation business, because that's dirty engineering stuff!!

If you are hired through Altara you receive no benefits or staff travel
Cobham hired crew pay an annual fee to receive a somewhat staff travel, which is at the bottom of the food chain.

Great company who look after their staff.
The good thingsAlthough working as Cabin Crew a lot of the work is shift work. The company are good at swapping shifts with fellow colleagues. Great annual leave. Excellent penalty rates. Great people to work with and management do their best to help staff when needed.
The challengesShift work is hard. You do miss out on some special occasions do to the operation.
