    Great culture, great people, and room to grow
    The good thingsI’ve been at Colliers for five years, starting out as a Team Assistant and now working as the QLD Office Manager. I’ve been really lucky to grow my career here, progression is genuinely supported if you’re willing to put yourself out there. The culture is great, the people are supportive, and the staff benefits are a big bonus. Overall, it’s a really enjoyable place to work.
    The challengesBeing a large organisation, things can feel structured at times, but there’s still flexibility and openness to new ideas.

    The challengesThe company culture is extremely toxic and the HR (local based) is poor. Very low pay in comparison to other competitors in the industry.

    The good thingsGenerally good management, allow you to make mistakes when learning and give you responsibility's early to fast-track growth. Great team culture. Often opportunities to get out of office (e.g. inspections) in vals which are encouraged by management.

    Unrewarding Experience. There is room for management improvement.
    The good thingsThe company grew in size quite significantly which created more opportunities for existing employees. Exposure to different size projects.
    The challengesPoor work culture. Difficult people to work with. Micromanaging of employees. Low salary in comparison with competitors. Lack of teamwork. Very high turnover staff. Disrepect from senior engineers. Skillful engineers, however, unwilling to share their knowledge.

    The good thingsAll staff, including management are extremely helpful, professional and friendly throughout the onboarding transition and day to day operations. There is continuous liaising from management to staff regarding optional additional upskilling and career progression.

    I had heard stories about Colliers prior to starting here, not regarding the company itself just a regarding some of the offices, however I have been blown away by the support and great atmosphere within my team at the Brisbane office. I have slipped into my role seamlessly and have been made to feel so welcome that when I recently went on a 2week holiday I was itching to come back to work. I love that I have the opportunity to progress my career as well as also be supported in my role as a mum.
    The good things- Great Team Environment - Room and Ongoing Support for Career Progression - Fantastic Management - Actual Work/Life Balance (not just fake promises) - Support for Personal & Professional Development -
