RUN - do not walk, away for this company, look elsewhere
The good thingsModern clinic, lovely clients and colleagues and a reasonable IT program
The challengesIncompetent Middle Management who are all about their own career advancement and bonuses - clearly have no idea what is like to work on the frontline and only focus on sales, and shareholders - zero customer care

Overall the place to go where dreams die and you become a Tool to make others money.
The good thingsThe clients and if your lucky to work in a great team the people you work with
The challengesBeing told your pay raise is not linked to your performance (you get it before the performance review) and its just a token at 1-to-3 % but you cant speak to other people about it and your still on less than a lot of other clinicians at other companies afterwards. At same time being told how well the company is doing and that they are spending lots of money on buying other shops out.

The company has no value for experienced, consistent employees and will replace you in a blink, assumed the next audiologist is a better sheep. Or as one was told: …we replace you with a new grad.
The good thingsWorking with good technology.
The challengesVery minor choice of manufacturer to work with, significant sales focus compromising services for existing clients, no flexibility for employee needs. The bonus system is not individual but team based rewarding even the laziest team member.

A Swiss company that only cares about sales.
The good thingsNothing really it is totally sales focused and does not have your interests in mind.
The challengesIt only focuses on sales metrics, it is the worst company I have ever worked for. And that's saying something in the hearing industry.

    A negative experience
The good thingsAdministration staff are very caring and professional.
The challengesYou are provided with minimal training for the role before being thrown in the deep end. Managerial support is largely non-existent for any serious ongoing issues but you are provided with endless micromanagement of the trivialities of the role. You can look forward to continuously increasing responsibilities without being remunerated accordingly. Sales and profits take an enormous precedence over actual client care.

    Do not work for them!
The good thingsThey use good hearing aids
The challengesPoor management who have no idea about hearing industry. Try and get staff to pay out for things they should need to. Unkind staff and take away their hard earned bonuses

It's been great working at Connect Hearing.
The good thingsBalanced culture. Strong management team with clear vision of future. Good team culture. Supportive HR department.
The challengesNo challenges that are specific to this business. The only challenges are ones normally faced in a corporate organization. They're always aiming for excellence in what they do which challenges you to grow professionally and personally.

A great place to work in an ever changing landscape.
The good thingsAs someone who has been with Connect for over 10 years, I believe Connect are a very progressive company and are very focused on building a great workplace culture. Challenging the status-quo and evolving mindset has been a key focus of the leadership. Work / Life balance for clinicians working part time to support their families has been an important part in supporting staff. For me, I decided to work Saturdays so I could have a weekday at home to pick up the kids from school and take them to sport. It is not just around maternity leave, but the support Connect offer staff who have to take time off for other personal reasons. Connect did a great job during COVID and protecting all ground staff jobs before Job Keeper and were extremely quick to respond making sure everyone had PPE that was replenished regularly. They have been great in developing their staff to do further education on the journey to becoming clinicians which I think is fantastic. The culture also encourages innovation and accountability which helps people to learn and be the best they can be.
The challengesI would say the challenges are making sure that people who come to work at Connect are agile, adaptable and good problem solvers. I think remuneration is always going to be a challenge no matter what company you work for.

    Wonderful, for fulling, satisfying.
The good thingsManagement. Room to grow if you give it time. Supportive Environment. Your not just a number.
The challengesI really enjoy working there, there's a couple of staff that keep pushing for more and more and maybe they just need to accept that Connect Hearing isn't the place for them anymore.

    Definitely love working here
The good thingsManagement pass information on to staff to keep them informed. They want to know what they can do to keep staff happy. They listen to staff and you don't feel like you're just a number in the system. Other staff are happy to help to assist where they can.
The challengesNot a huge amount of challenges. None more so than any other business and nothing that sticks out for me

Working with Connect Hearing was fine.
The good thingsThe management personnel who I dealt with were friendlier and more organised than other companies.
The challengesCompleting clinical paperwork is challenging as it is all done via an internet connection. The slower and more unreliable this is (think regional / rural areas), the slower everything is. The ordering of devices is not great because it's fiddly and time consuming.
