The challengesNo real challenges, which was the reason I left after 10 years working at Woodie Woodie

All employees and colleagues in exploration Dept are very unhappy with management, there are purple circles with the seniors and the communication and organisation is terrible, I can’t name one person that enjoyed working there and wanted to further their career with the company, everyone is treated like they are temporary.
The good thingsThe roster is ok and if you like the heat it’s great.
The challengesManagement and culture including the HR system with equal rights

I loved the place. Still not sure if I made a good choice by leaving.
The good thingsEverybody is friendly and welcoming. A good happy place to be.
The challengesRidiculously hot. There were some issues with offsite leadership which resulted in average planning but I understand it is better now.

    Stable, productive employees
The good thingsThe community of employees felt stable. The management encouraged and participated in leadership and professional activities. Many of the employees had been with the company for years longer than the typical employ turnover cycle.
The challengesThe absentee owners made quick changes. The upper management was nimble at announcing the changes, but bound not to explain the potential impact to jobs.

    Mill maintenance
    Aug 2017
9 to 10 years in the role, former employee
It was VERY hot work, but there was plenty of support from just about everyone.
The good thingsThe bosses in the section where I worked were very good. They listened to you, perhaps a little too easily. If someone turned up with a complaint, they didn't investigate very much, they mainly just went with the complainer. The roster was a 2 on 2 off, which gave people plenty of time home.
The challengesThe only real challenge was to get my point across, when I knew I was right. It was a sort of \"Don't do it your way, do it my way.\"
